Parking: parking is VERY limited. Consider walking or carpooling.
“Tickets”: Tickets are NOT required, however we have planned 4 guests for each student. You are welcome to bring your own chairs as well. As a reminder, promotion is held outside on the primary blacktop. Siblings will not be allowed to leave class to attend the promotion.
Dress Code: Typically, students dress up for the ceremony. Boys have traditionally worn a collared shirt. Girls typically wear dresses or skirts. The School Dress Code applies for both boys and girls. NO strapless or revealing dresses will be permitted.
Time: For attendance purposes, students should come to school at their regular time (prior to 7:45). Gates will open at 8:00 am after the other students get into class and the promotion ceremony will begin at 8:30 am. The ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
After the ceremony: Join the students in the MPR for a special slideshow presentation. You are welcome to sign out your newly promoted 6th grader to continue the celebration. Please keep in mind that it is still a school day and you are not required to sign them out for the day; they can remain at school. Please refrain from checking out younger siblings.
Non-permitted Items: Anything that would obstruct the view of others is not permitted, including large signs, balloons, or “fat heads”. Confetti is also NOT permitted on campus. You may bring umbrellas for shade but they must be put away during the ceremony.
Thursday: Thursday is a school day and students are expected to attend. This is the time for teachers to say their final best wishes as a class. School ends at 12:00 with the Clap-out starting at 11:45.
