The Alabama Literacy Act: Update for ACS Families
We have compiled this explanation of the requirements of the Alabama Literacy Act for your support. The PDFs linked below contain hyperlinks to a voiceover presentation, a Frequently Asked Questions document, resources for use at home, and more! Please scan the provided QR code to document viewing the presentation. We aim to promote strong family engagement across Region 7. If you have further questions, please set up a conference with your child's teacher so that you can better understand your child's AimsWeb reading assessment, progress monitoring, or other support, as needed, for a Read-at-Home plan.

Announcing Peachjar for Digital Flyer Distribution
Peachjar: An Introduction
We are excited to announce our partnership with Peachjar! Peachjar's Digital Flyer Distribution system allows us to unite schools, parents, and communities in our collective mission to elevate student outcomes! Peachjar’s platform streamlines school-to-home communication by distributing valuable school and community resources directly to families as digital flyers. By enabling our district to go paperless, Peachjar helps us save thousands of hours of personnel time (and trees!) each year.
Peachjar for Families
Peachjar organizes all important school and community information in one place! In addition to receiving emails from your school, look for the ‘Peachjar’ button or icon on your school website to view all active flyers (website buttons will become active later this school year).
Peachjar for Community Organizations
Our district wants families to know about district-approved community programs and resources offered by organizations like yours! Peachjar charges a fee for this service, which is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers. There are many additional benefits to using Peachjar—clickable buttons that take parents directly to your website, flyer performance reports, and not to mention the time saved driving school to school!
