Greetings Panthers!!
I hope that you've had a wonderful weekend!! Please listen carefully for this week's updates and reminders.Tomorrow is Veterans Day! We would like to take a moment to thank all Veterans for their bravery, honor and courage. We wish all veterans a Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for your service.
We are very excited to invite you to join us this Tuesday, November 12th from 5:30pm-7:00pm for our first Family Night of the school year. Come enjoy an evening of family games, food, arts and crafts, prizes and more! This is a night of Thanksgiving themed family fun that you don't want to miss!!
On Wednesday, our Phillis Wheatley PTA will be hosting the Astro Skate Bus Party from 2:30pm-5:30pm. The cost is $15.00 per child. Transportation to Astro Skate will be provided. Buses will leave the school at 2:30PM and return to the school after the skate party at 6:30PM. The price includes pizza, drinks, bus transportation to and from school, admission, basic skate rental, colorful hair spray, face paint, access to the inflatable bounce house, and Base Station Dance Room. No outside food or drinks will be permitted. Parents may transport their own scholars and the cost will be $14.00 per person for anyone who wants to participate and come directly to Astro Skate. Scholars must be accompanied by an adult if they do not ride the bus to Astro Skate.
This year we will participate in Safe Kids Orange County, FL Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day event on Thursday November 14, 2024 hosted by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The purpose of this event is to educate our scholars on pedestrian safety. As our scholars walk to school, they will receive trinkets and other giveaways while they are being cheered on by members of the Orange County Sheriff's Office staff. Parent participation is encouraged!
On Friday evening, PTA invites you to attend Family Movie Night from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The featured movie will be Inside Out 2. Bring your blankets and chairs and come out for an evening of family fun! As a reminder, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free for families of current PTA members. Admission is $10 per family for non PTA Members. We encourage everyone to become a part of the PTA. There is a one time membership fee of $8 per year. If you join by Friday, admission to Movie Night will be free for the family!
As always, thank you so much for your support and for all that you do for the scholars at Phillis Wheatley ES. We look forward to seeing our scholars bright and early tomorrow morning by 8:15am.

- Let a family member know you are grateful with a text message.
