CVilleCA Newsletter Issue #11 - December 18th, 2024
Welcome!
Welcome to our weekly newsletter for of the 2024/2025 school year. We will send this out every week to keep you posted about all the things happening at the Coatesville Cyber Academy this year.
Please make sure to read the whole newsletter each week, as always add new info.
Message from the Frog Pond
It seems like yesterday I was sending the welcome to the new school year email. Now we are turning the corner of a new calendar year, providing a good opportunity to reflect on how our year has gone so far.
We have had a huge surge of growth in the number of families choosing the cyber approach to schooling. The most important thing to remember is that with the great freedom that cyber school allows, it requires a tremendous amount of responsibility to do it successfully.
With that being said, use the next couple of days to reflect on how your school year has gone so far. Think about some things that you could include in your resolutions that increase your level of responsibility!
Be well,
Frog

Accelerate/Cyber Academy Tips and Tricks
Email Your Teachers on Outlook
Please only use your school email address and Microsoft Outlook to communicate with your CORE TEACHERS. We do not check the messenger in Accelerate.
Please DO NOT USE THE ACCELERATE MESSAGE CENTER to contact teachers. Use OUTLOOK email only. However, your elective teachers still use this to contact you, so it's important to check it daily.

2024-2025 Senior Announcements
Mrs. Lewis is your college info guru!
If you are in the process of applying to college/post-secondary schools, please send Ms. Lewis an email (lewisw@casdschools.org) to let her know. She can answer any questions you have about the process, talk about schools that are appropriate for your major, etc. She has to send your official transcript to each school once you apply, so it's important that she's in the loop!

Course Requests for the Spring Semester
Students in grades 9-12 must choose new elective courses for the spring semester, which begins on January 24, 2025. A course sheet and a link to a Google doc will be emailed to your school email address in the coming days. Course requests are due no later than Monday, 1/6/25. If you do not submit course requests, courses will be chosen for you. It's critical that students in grades 9-11 maintain a full course load of 7 credits per year in order to stay on track for graduation.
Seniors, if you played your cards right, you may not need more electives to meet graduation requirements in June. Please take a minute to complete the Google doc anyway. Ms. Lewis will confirm your credits and only add the course that you need.
Thank you!!
