Principal Office Updates
📸 Retakes will be November 14th
Midterm Grades
It is hard to believe that we are almost halfway through our first trimester. On Friday, October 4, all grades will be updated and we will send a reminder to check midterm grades in Skyward. There is plenty of time for students to make improvements to their grades before the trimester ends on November 15, and we hope with this review of grades we can all support our students in this process.
Student Led Conferences
You will hear from your child's Student Led Conference leader via email soon to set up a conference on Oct. 23, 2024. We can't wait to see you all there. Save the date!

Skyward Alert E-mails
Missing Assignments
We started sending an automated e-mail through Skyward once a week alerting parents of missing assignments. You can always check Google Classroom and Skyward to see what assignments are due and what is missing, but this is an automatic way for you to be alerted when things are missing.Attendance and Late to Class (Tardies)
We will also send automated reminders when students are absent or late to class/school repeatedly. If you have not downloaded the Skyward app, we highly suggest that too.
Community Engagement
Community Engagement Series
Salt Creek District 48 will be hosting a community engagment series in which we use Jonathan Haidt's book, The Anxious Generation, as a guide for conversation around how we can best support today's youth. About his book, Haidt states, "My central claim in this book is that these two trends--overprotection in the real world and under-protection in the virtual world--are the major reasons why children born after 1995 became the anxious generation."
Click on the flyer to view more information. Interested in attending? RSVP here.
