The Keystone Connection
We're at the finish line!
A Message from the Superintendent
Dear Keystone Community,
As the 2024-2025 school year comes to a close, I want to take recognize the tremendous support we receive from our parents, students, staff, and community. Through these partnerships, many of our initiatives have come to fruition: the development of our softball and baseball fields, the introduction of the Portrait of a Wildcat, the creation of an outdoor classroom by our amazing PTA, and the continued integration of resources and up-to-date technologies.
We are excited for our end-of-the-year celebrations, including award ceremonies, field and fun days, and the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025.
Thank you, Keystone, for making my first year so meaningful. I am so grateful for the support of this incredible school community and look forward to continuing my journey as Superintendent of Keystone Local Schools.
Senior Scholarship Night
We are tremendously proud and extremely grateful for the unwavering support of our community in helping our students in their post-secondary endeavors. This was exemplified at our annual Senior Scholarship night. Click on any of the images to view our full list of scholarships and recipients.
Keystone ROX!
Students from our ROX Leadership Team (RLT), Madison Taraschkeas, Callie Crabeels, Mallory Skvor, Marissa Keener, Jessica Linden, and Aurora Rea, facilitated the county-wide ROX event!
The ROX program focuses on girls and teaching them different life skills, such as effective communication, how to have healthy relationships and positive body image, social media safety, stress management, future planning, leadership skills, and more.
Our ROX team members, Kelsey Crislip-Cerro, Olivia Lamb, Mary Miller, Danica Parks, Mia Stefan, Kayla Ross, Emma Wilson, McKenzie Lilly, Makenna Folmer, and Kennedy Accavallo, did an amazing job planning and executing this amazing day!
Spicing It Up at Lunch!
Jody White, our Food Services Director, continues her amazing work for our District! She continually finds new ways to enhance school meals, while simultaneously adhering to the strict standards set forth by the Food and Drug Administration. Our food service staff decorate the cafeteria for themed weeks and even have clothing to match the meal!
White also hosts guest chefs! Recently, Chef Tarrice visited and made delicious Philly cheesesteak subs with queso, onions, and peppers for students at KMS and made Cajun chicken pasta for our high school students! Thanks for visiting us Chef and our sincere appreciation to our Food Services Department and Director Jody White for going above and beyond for our students.
KES Is GOLDEN
It certainly takes a village to accomplish the Gold Rating for our PBIS system. In order to even apply for Gold, you first have to be awarded Bronze and Silver in previous years. In short, to achieve Gold, you need complete staff dedication, and the entire school must believe in what we are doing.
This means we all use common language, follow through with expectations, data collection and analysis, implement our behavioral RTI process with fidelity, and so much more. It takes years of implementation and tweaking to achieve this award, and I cannot be more grateful to work with a staff that is not only invested in this system, but also in the best interest of each and every student.
