Good luck Mr. LeΓ³n! You will be missed!
Mr. LeΓ³n has been an Instructional Coordinator here at LMEC for the last three years. He has coordinated wonderful excursions to universities for our students to tour and familiarize themselves with campus life. Mr. LeΓ³n helped to create the Dream classes for secondary students where students were able to have enriching classes like Jiu-Jitsu, sewing, gardening, and NorteΓ±o music to name a few. He has built great rapport with our families and has made himself available to talk and support our students and families.
Starting next school year, Mr. LeΓ³n will begin a new position as an associate principal at Hoover High School. We wish him well and he will truly be missed. Hoover is lucky to have you Mr. LeΓ³n!

We'll Miss You Dr. Guerrero
Dr. Angela Guerrero started last year at LMEC as our Instructional Coordinator of Language Acquisition. She left her position as director of High Tech High to be here and work with our multilingual children. Her expertise in this field has helped many of our students (K-10th) to be reclassified as English proficient. She has provided effective professional development trainings for our staff on how to work with multilingual children. Dr. Guerrero led our ELAC meetings and was active in many of our school activities. She started her mornings, reading books to the children in the Casa area (3-5 year olds) and created a book club for the elementary side. She will miss the LMEC community, and hopes to return to support in the future.
Thank You LMEC Community π
I have had the pleasure of being part of your community for the past two years. As the Instructional Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement, I am happy that I was able to provide our families and students with resources and workshops. Our students in grades third through eight were able to receive free swimming classes via a city grant. It brought great joy to give our teachers free Padres tickets so they could take their students to a game. Our secondary students were provided with healthy snacks from San Diego Food Bank. With your help we had great fund raisers to help our school. Our Trunk or Treat, Winter Festival, Mother's Day Event, Volunteer Ceremony, Student Award Recognition were some of the many school wide activities that were a joy to coordinate. These events brought many of our families together to celebrate and to help create stronger bonds. I will miss the wonderful people that I have been able to work with along with the beautiful families that are part of LMEC.
