Our Mission: “To share the Good News of Jesus Christ, teach children, and assist parents in training children to be witnessing Christians and productive citizens.”
Weekly Devotion
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves caught in a web of self-interest and ambition. The messages around us compel us to put ourselves first, to strive for recognition, and to seek our own agendas. Yet, as Christians we are recreated to evaluate our priorities. Specifically, we are called to embrace humility, which is a radical concept that flips societal norms on their head.
To value others above yourself is a Christ-like posture. We are encouraged to see the world through the eyes of Christ, who, in His great humility, laid down His life for us. This is not merely a suggestion; it is a command rooted in the very nature of our Lord, “Love your neighbor as I have loved you.”
Jesus notices those the world takes little notice of, or thinks little of – children, widows, lepers, the poor. And He doesn’t just notice them, but He spends time with them, eats with them, speaks with them, forgives them. This is good news for us.
Jesus notices you, even when He is about to die in humility upon the cross. For He is going to the cross for you. And even on the cross, who does Jesus notice? The thief hanging next to Him, His mother beneath Him. And He takes care of them. And you. He is never too busy. He never has more important things to do than mercy. For He gives all He has, His very life, for you.
Now it’s your turn to love others with the love of Christ. Look for opportunities to serve others, whether it’s offering a listening ear, providing a helping hand, or by speaking the Truth. Practice these things, and reflect Christ’s love in a world that desperately needs it.

Owen's Mission Presentation
Thank you to Michelle Bauman, Director of Y for Life, for the presentations today. Michelle presented to Grades 5-8 and K-4
Owen’s Mission is a very special project of Lutherans For Life. The goal of this project is to honor Jesus by presenting a set of Touch of Life fetal models to every Lutheran elementary and high school in the country.
Horton the elephant was right! The Bible agrees! In fact, the Bible says more: A person’s a person created by God (Psalm 139:13-14), a person redeemed by Jesus (Galatians 3:13), and a person the Holy Spirit wants to call to be His child (1 Timothy 2:4) no matter how small!
