Mr. Smith's Scoop π¦
Happy Friday!
I hope this message finds you well and ready for a wonderful weekend. We had a fantastic week
here at Camelview and have a few updates and reminders to share with you.
Student of the Month Lunches
Today, we celebrated our amazing Students of the Month! These students have demonstrated
outstanding CUBS expectations. It was such a joy to honor their hard work and accomplishments
over a special lunch. Thank you to all the families who support our students in achieving their
best each day!
Parent-Teacher Conferences Next Week
A friendly reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for next week on
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your childβs
teacher, discuss their progress, and collaborate on goals for the remainder of the year. If you have
not yet scheduled your conference, please reach out to your childβs teacher as soon as possible.
Please note that we will have early dismissal on these days to accommodate conference
schedules.
Building Reading Fluency at Home
Reading fluency is such an important skill for students to develop as it helps with comprehension
and overall confidence in reading. Here are a few ideas to support fluency at home:
- Read Aloud Together: Take turns reading with your child. Listening to you model fluent reading can help them improve their own pace and expression.
- Practice Sight Words: Focus on high-frequency words that appear often in their books. Flashcards or quick word games can make this fun!
- Revisit Favorite Books: Encourage your child to reread books they enjoy. Familiarity with the text allows them to read more smoothly and confidently.
- Set a Reading Routine: Create a consistent time each day for reading. Even 15 minutes can make a big difference!
Thank you for all you do to support your children both at school and at home. If you have any
questions or need assistance, please donβt hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you a restful and enjoyable weekend!

Β‘Feliz viernes!

Fresh News from the Cafeteria!
π Got a Birthday Coming Up? Purchase a Birthday Box! π
Our cafeteria can provide birthday boxes at a very low cost. This reduces the impact on classroom learning time (every minute counts), reduces the likelihood of ants in classrooms and creates a fun celebration during lunch times. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tkA7cxvKb4gCb7RDTtE2mxsgSZzxXMui/view?usp=sharing
If you have any questions please contact Valerie, our kitchen manager at vmartinez@madisoned.org!
