Senior of the Week
Stefanie Kao nominated by Ms. Orozco, her counselor. "I am excited to nominate Stefanie for Senior of the Week. From my first day as a new counselor here at RHS, Stefanie welcomed me and made me feel a part of the school community. I thank her for her warm welcome and for her trust in me. Stefanie is excelling in her coursework, maintaining a strong academic record, and balancing her responsibilities with a clear focus on her future. As she prepares for her college career, Stefanie has demonstrated ambition and a thoughtful approach to her goals. I am confident that she will continue to succeed and I am happy to be a part of it."
Athlete of the Week
Aerin Anselmini was nominated by her flag football coach Mr. Cabot. "Aerin was selected for special recognition because of her outstanding performance on both the JV and varsity teams. She threw and ran for a touchdown while playing for JV, showcasing her versatility and athleticism. Additionally, she played a key role in driving our offense forward for the varsity team, helping put the offense in strong scoring positions."
Scholar of the Week
Jason Maida has been nominated by Athletic Director, Valerie Varela. "Jason is in my 4th period weight training class and is the definition of leading by example. He helps students who are new to weight lifting and does it in a way that feels welcoming to those trying for the first time. He challenges himself when maxing out, but knows when to stop to avoid an injury. He is the strongest person in our weight lifting program but remains humble and uses his experience to help others. I am thankful to have him in my class, and look forward to watching him PR through the year."
Art Person of the Week
Manuel Nunez nominated by CTE teacher, Ms. Anita Janicke. "I want to take a moment to recognize Manuel's outstanding commitment to the Medical Health Science Patient Care pathway. His dedication and hard work throughout his high school experience has truly stood out in my classroom. He consistently stays engaged, asks insightful questions, and actively supports his classmates, embodying the Raider Goals of being a communicator, contributor, and thinker. His positive attitude and willingness to help others make a significant impact on our learning environment. Keep up the fantastic work!"

National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15th to October 15th, honoring the incredible contributions of Hispanic Americans in shaping our communities. This fun, hands-on project was perfect for students to dive into this rich cultural celebration.
