SEAS Faith Formation
October 2024
A note from Driskill's Desk
Happy October and the Month of the Rosary!
We are off to a great start with Religious Education! As of today, we have over 700 students in the program! Here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, we are blessed with a gifted and creative group of coordinators and catechists, who teach and model our faith to your children. We pray this monthly newsletter helps to bring awareness to the amazing things that are occurring in the Faith Formation program, as well as provide useful ideas to help your family grow closer to God!
In this newsletter, you will find a variety of upcoming events and activities planned for our SEAS Faith Community. Please be sure to scroll through and share these events with your family and friends!
October is also the month of the rosary! The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. We would like to personally invite you and your family to our SEAS Family Night on October 16th from 6pm-7:30pm. We will begin with an Animated Rosary for Kids, followed by crafts and light snacks.
I know as a parent, things can be challenging at times. We want you to know we are here to help and are praying this newsletter will be a helpful tool. We are excited to be a part of your child’s life this year and thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gift. We are honored to have the opportunity, guided by the Holy Spirit, to help families grow closer to God! Looking forward to a Blessed year!
God Bless,
Mrs. Driskill

Safe Environment
Archdiocese Safe Environment Protocols
The Archdiocese of San Antonio provides several resources and videos to parishes in an effort to help programs talk to students and parents about safety measures.
In the month of October and April, our Faith Formation programs will be going over some safe environment and boundary topics with our students. Each program coordinator will provide you with more information on specifics.
If you would like to learn more about what the Archdiocese offers or to watch videos for specific age levels, check out the following links:

Safety Procedures
The safety of our students, families, volunteers, and staff is a top priority for our Faith Formation Ministry. It is important to us that parents feel comfortable and confident while their children attend classes at SEAS. We take several steps to ensure we are a safe environment for all.
Each of our volunteers and all of the staff are required to take Safe Environment Trainings. Our God Shepherd and Elementary students must be picked up from their classroom to guarantee that they leave with a trusted adult. You will also notice that we an officer on site during each class session.
To help with safety measures, we ask that parents read the below handbook provided by the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
