Summer Mental Health Support with ReferralGPS
Although school is out for the summer, mental health support is still available for District 41 families and staff.
ReferralGPS
ReferralGPS is a free service connecting families with mental health providers. ReferralGPS will connect school district families and staff with a professional Care Navigator who will identify mental health providers based on their specific needs as well as schedule appointments with the providers both in person or virtual. This eliminates the need for families to hunt for therapists and other providers on their own.
Visit this link to search for treatment resources or connect with a Care Navigator anonymously. ReferralGPS tool is completely confidential and securely stored. ReferralGPS has the ability to filter by mental health concern, clinician gender/specialty, location, and insurance acceptance. This service is available for all types of private and public insurance options, including PPO, HMO, Medicaid, and uninsured or underinsured families.
NOTE: A limited number of the federal grant funds are available for District 41 families who begin treatment with a mental health provider through ReferralGPS.
New Content Filter
District 41 has begun using the Blocksi Manager Education Everywhere (BMEE) system to filter content. This cloud-based system has multiple layers and is designed to manage devices, helping to eliminate distractions and spark curiosity. Using BMEE, District 41 IT administrators can easily apply filtering policies to all devices, ensuring that internet filtering is enforced on every Chromebook based on policies set for web, YouTube, content, time access management, and application filter profiles.
The Blocksi Parent Dashboard and App assist administrators and teachers by enabling parents to monitor their child's browsing history, control internet access at home, and view frequently visited websites. This provides a better understanding of the browsing behavior of students and encourages more effective internet usage habits at school and home. Additionally, the Parent App allows parents to manage school-issued devices during out-of-school hours.
Blocksi Parent Dashboard
Monitor your child’s activity on their district-issued device
Allow parents to view Cyberbullying and self-harm detection
Access the entire web & YouTube history
Access time control at home for streaming, gaming, and social media
Access to the Parent Mobile App is rostered based on the guardian email address associated with Skyward Family Access. Visit the D41 website (https://www.d41.org/Domain/1457) for more information.
We strive to ensure your child's online safety while providing educational content. To achieve this, Blocksi collects data to offer our cloud-based internet and YouTube filtering service to GSuite Education users who have logged into their Google account using a desktop computer or a Chromebook. For more detailed information about Blocksi, you may visit Blocksi's website, Privacy Policy, and CIPA Compliance on Chromebooks and Chrome clients With Blocksi Manager Education Everywhere.
