Principal's Message

Lawrence Families,

Once again, this newsletter contains a lot on information as it is a very busy time of year. Please read through thoroughly to ensure you do not miss information for yourself or your student(s).

This Wednesday is our Final House Rally of the Year, and it’s a truly special moment for our school community! During this event, our Kindergarten students will be welcomed into their Houses for the very first time. It’s a beautiful tradition where our 6th graders take the lead, symbolically passing the baton as they prepare to leave and our youngest learners begin their journey. One chapter is closing while another begins. We can’t wait to celebrate it together!

Career Day Success!

This past Thursday, our school hosted a school-wide Career Day and it was a tremendous success! Students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers and engage in hands-on activities, thanks to an incredible group of volunteers who generously shared their time and expertise. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers for supporting this event and inspiring our students.

A special shout-out goes to our 6th-grade teacher, Natalie Hanson, whose dedication, planning, and hard work made this event possible. Her commitment was instrumental in bringing Career Day to life, and we truly appreciate her efforts.

We’re already looking forward to another amazing Career Day next year!

TK Lunch with a Loved One is this Thursday at 10:40 am. It will be held on the TK playground. Please use the front gates for entry and feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket. We look forward to seeing you there!

Open House at Lawrence

We’re thrilled to welcome all of our families to campus for Open House, which is a special evening to visit classrooms and celebrate the amazing work our students and staff have been doing throughout the year.

To add to the fun, La Sobrosita Taco Truck and Kona Ice will be serving up delicious food and treats in the back lot. Come hungry!

City-Wide Backpack Drive

Parents/Guardians: We are planning to distribute backpacks on National Night Out (August 5) at Legion, Blakely, and Hale Parks. If your student is in need of a quality backpack for the 2025- 26 school year, please fill out the following form by clicking the link below or scanning the provided QR Code:

Millswood Notice for upcoming 7th Graders

6th graders: The annual 7th Grade Millswood Quick Peek Tour is May 21st.

Students are invited to arrive at Millswood anytime between 6:15 and 6:45 for a very brief tour and a treat. They will be dismissed to leave as soon as the tour is complete. Everything will wrap up by 7:15. Parents are invited to wait outside the gate. This is not mandatory, just an opportunity to see the school before July!

Parents and guardians: Please remember, students need to have the TDAP immunization prior to the first day of 7th grade!

Summer Meals Program (Preschool - 12)

Lodi USD Nutrition Services is proud to offer free meals to all children ages 2–18 this summer at multiple locations across the district. The Summer Meals Program will run during June and July, providing nutritious breakfasts and lunches to help keep kids healthy and fueled all summer long.

Please help spread the word to families in your school community.
