The Primary Connection

Notes From the Office
The next several weeks are going to be very busy as we head into the end of the school year. With spring sports in full swing, please make sure your child is getting plenty of rest. Plenty of rest will help keep them healthy and it will also help with focus as we complete our end of the year assessments.
We have one more week in the School of Choice application period which closes on Friday, May 10. If you are enrolled at EPS as a School of Choice Family, you will need to sign-in to continue enrollment. If you have friends that are interested in enrolling School of Choice, this is their opportunity to apply for the 24 - 25 school year.

24 - 25 School Year Calendar
The 24 - 25 school year is right around the corner. This past week, the EPS Board of Education approved the calendar for the coming school year. I have attached a copy of it to this newsletter and it is also available on our district website.
One noticeable change is that our district will implement a monthly late start each month. This time is designed for professional development and collaboaration amongst our instructional staff. This protected time allows teachers and staff to stay updated on the latest educational practices, teaching techniques, and curriculum changes. By incorporating late starts, schools can provide dedicated time for professional development without disrupting the regular school day.
