Daily Announcements
State Testing - State testing is scheduled from April 15th to April 26th starting at 8:30 am and concluding by 11:30 AM daily. Content areas being tested and estimated conclusion times can be found above. Kindly refrain from checking your student out during testing. If they are checked out mid-test, they won't be able to make it up. Absent students will be pulled for makeup testing upon their return to school. Please make every effort to minimize absences during this period.
As we approach the upcoming state testing period, we want to ensure that our students are fully prepared to excel in their assessments. To optimize their testing experience, it is crucial that students have access to fully functional laptops without any technical hindrances.
We kindly remind you to take a moment each evening to ensure your child's laptop is charged overnight. A fully charged device ensures uninterrupted testing sessions and allows your child to focus solely on demonstrating their knowledge. Additionally, please take a moment to inspect your child's laptop for any physical damages, such as cracked screens or malfunctioning touchscreens. If your child's laptop has any issues, have them visit the help desk immediately so a loaner laptop can be issued. These issues may significantly impact their ability to complete the exams effectively. Ensuring that laptops are in good working order will help mitigate any potential disruptions during testing sessions. Your cooperation in maintaining the functionality of your child's laptop is greatly appreciated and contributes to their success during state testing.
Thank you for your continued support in providing the best possible learning environment for our students. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding state testing or laptop maintenance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Morning Tutoring - There will be no morning tutoring or morning test retakes on TCAP testing days.
Returning Student Verification - Returning student verification for the 2024-2025 school year opens on MONDAY, APRIL 15. This process must be completed for all students who plan to return to our schools for the 2024-2025 school year. We are asking parents to have verification completed on or before the last day of School - May 17. If a student will NOT be returning to our schools due to relocation or other enrollment, please check the first box indicating he or she will not be returning to MCS for the 24-25 school year. Thank you for sharing that information as well. On April 15, parents will receive an email that includes a verification link.
