School News
Dear Saint Ambrose Parents,
It was a fun and full week of learning. Students are working hard practicing for Christmas concerts, band concerts, the Charlie Brown Christmas play, and finishing strong as we complete our first trimester. We are blessed as we look toward the season of Advent to prepare the way for Jesus.
Next Tuesday is the end of the trimester. Report cards will go home with students on Friday, December 6.
A few noteworthy nuggets:
- Tuesday, November 26 we welcome our Marathon Prize Winners-Principals for the Day: Harbor and Sawyer. These two leaders have called a dollar donation out of uniform day-Bring $1 or more for the Open Cupboard food shelf. We are looking forward to their help in running the school on Tuesday!
- Cold weather is upon us. Thank you for helping students bring warm clothing for recess and waiting outdoors for parent pick-up or bus loading.
- DECEMBER 2nd will be a NO BUS DAY - we will follow the same drop off and pick up as we used earlier this year! See below if you need a review of the plan.
- Janet will be out of the office from Dec 5-10th; we will be checking her email, but please direct any urgent needs to Mrs. Hand or Mrs. Helmberger during that time.
- The Feast of Saint Ambrose is on Saturday, December 7. We will honor our patron with activities and prayers on Friday, December 6.
- On Monday, December 9 we will gather to worship at an All School Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception at 2pm. Please join us!
Greetings from the Wellness Committee,
During November we are offering a Family Gratitude Challenge. Students will be participating at school on school days. Feel free to make up your own projects on non school days. See the attached calendar for the school choices.
Let us pray, O Eternal God, who gave us in the person of St. Cecilia, a powerful protectress, grant that after having faithfully passed our days like herself, in innocence and holiness, we may one day attain the land of beatitude, where in concert with her, we may praise you and bless you forevermore in eternity. Amen.
St. Cecilia, Pray for us!
Have a great weekend.

Students Living the Virtues
During November, Saint Ambrose students will be practicing the virtue of Respect. The Saint Ambrose Way tenet that we will be connecting to this virtue is to Be Clean.
Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and well-being.
A few ways students can show respect and be clean are:
· Listen to others ideas
· Be thoughtful of others’ feelings
· Keep yourself clean and germ-free
· Keep common areas clean and clear
· After dining in the cafeteria be responsible for your trash
· Even if it is not yours, pick it up
· Make decisions based on what’s right, not who you like
· Respect physical boundaries
· Speak up if others around you are being disrespectful
· Lend a helping hand and practice compassion
Please help support your student on their journey of being respectful and clean!

Mission and Philosophy
Mission (what we offer)
We at Saint Ambrose School are part of a vibrant Catholic community supporting and nurturing
each child on their journey with Christ.
Through exceptional academics, embracing each child’s unique strengths and needs, and
joyfully engaging in prayer and service, we take a holistic, virtue-based approach to student
education and experiences. This is the Saint Ambrose Way.
Vision (what we aspire to)
As a thriving Catholic school, we create meaningful impact though each family we support and
student we send into the world.
By helping form the whole child, students are not only prepared well for the next level of
education, but life as Christian adults living the Saint Ambrose Way.
PHILOSOPHY
The Saint Ambrose community recognizes the partnership between parents, students, staff,
administration and parishioners in providing for the development of its members as people of
faith who worship, learn and grow together. As a community we have a responsibility to
support families- as the primary educators of their children- while providing enriching
experiences that promote a sense of belonging and responsibility to a community.
