Dear VAP Families,
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Flag Raising Ceremony and Parent's Night Out. Your participation is vital in strengthening our community, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces.
We have more exciting events on the horizon! Mark your calendars for our Pink Out Flag Football Home Game tomorrow, October 1st, where we’ll come together to show our support for breast cancer awareness. Our Breast Cancer Awareness shirts have just arrived this morning , and we will be distributing them to students throughout the day.
Additionally, we’re thrilled to invite our K-2nd grade families to the Hoedown on Thursday, October 3rd—an event sure to be filled with fun and laughter!
Please also note that school will be closed this Friday, October 4th, for Teacher Professional Development Day.

Wishing a fantastic birthday to our beloved music teacher, Mr. Mario! His passion for music and infectious enthusiasm create an inspiring environment for our students. With his kindness and warm personality, he spreads cheer throughout the school and makes every class a joy. Here’s to a year filled with beautiful melodies and joyful moments!
Mr. Dash - October 5th
Happy birthday to Mr. Dash! From his start as a long-term sub to becoming our athletic director and PE teacher, he brings unmatched energy and enthusiasm to the world of sports. His passion for athletics pumps up our middle schoolers and motivates them to give their best. We’re so grateful to have you on our team, Mr. Dash!

Join Us for Our Annual "Pink Out" Game on October 1st!
Tomorrow is our annual "Pink Out" game, and we’re so excited to show our support for breast cancer awareness! We encourage everyone to wear their breast cancer awareness shirts or as much pink as possible to help raise awareness for this important cause.
During the game, we’ll have concessions available. Raffle tickets will also be for sale for $1 a piece. We have some fantastic prizes lined up, including:
- $100 Gift Card to Two Traveler's Wine Bar
- $100 Gift Card to The Goat and Vine
- Movie Night Basket
- Teeth Whitening Kit
- Gift Cards for Amazon, Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out, Target, Frozen Yogurt

K-2 Hoedown- Thursday, October 3rd
Yeehaw! Get ready for a rootin' tootin' good time at our upcoming Western K-2 House Challenge Hoedown! We're excited to invite K-2 families to a fun-filled evening of games, delicious food, and the opportunity to make new friends.
Date: Thursday, October 3, 2024
Time: 4:30 to 6:30pm
Location: VAP
Cost: Free
Food: Hot Dog meals, which includes chips and a drink, will be available for $5 each. DOH Creamery will also be selling ice cream cookie dough popsicles, which will be $5 for fun size and $7 for king size.

Hoedown Highlights:
Games Galore: Test your skills at our western-themed games, including Roping, Giddy Up Horsey, Horse Shoe Toss and Duck Races.
Western themed activities including: line dancing and a photo station.
Western House Cake Challenge: Decorate a cake in House colors with a country theme. Top vote will receive BONUS points for their House then cakes will be entered into a raffle to take home and enjoy.
Meet and Greet: Connect with other K-2 families and build new friendships. This is a perfect opportunity for parents and children to get to know one another.
So, dust off your hat, and get ready for a hoedown that's sure to be a hootin' and hollerin' good time. Students are encouraged to wear their house shirt with western accessories. We can't wait to see y'all there!
Human Pink Ribbon- Saturday, October 5th
Join the community of Murrieta for the Human Pink Ribbon Photo Event, sponsored by Michelle's Place, on Saturday, October 5th at 9 AM! Everyone will meet in the park at Murrieta Town Square, located at 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562. Come dressed in your best pink attire and be picture-ready by 9:30 AM as we create a beautiful “Human Pink Ribbon.” This family-friendly event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together to honor and celebrate those who have fought breast cancer.
Annual Pumpkin Showcase- Thursday, October 31st
It's that time of year again! Below are the rules for our pumpkin showcase:
- Submission: All pumpkins must be brought to school before 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, October 31st.
- Pick-Up: All pumpkins must go home on Friday, November 1st.
- Drop-Off Location: Please bring your pumpkins directly to the blue-top area.
- Creativity: All sizes and shapes are welcome! Think outside the box—feel free to carve, paint, use colored markers, cloth, straw, plastic, and more.
- Family Involvement: This is a FAMILY FUN PROJECT! We encourage all family members to get creative and join in on the fun.
Viewing: Parents are invited to view the pumpkins along with other exciting Spooky Science activities that day. Specific times will be announced at a later date.

Homework Club Pick Up Information
Reminder: Please try to refrain from picking up your child during Homework Club hours, as this time is dedicated to completing homework and catching up on assignments. If you need to pick up your child early, we can make exceptions, but this shouldn't become a regular occurrence.
Starting now, the office will no longer call students out of Homework Club from the office between 4:15 and 4:30 PM. Please go to Gate B to pick up your child during this time.
On Fridays, simply go directly to Gate B for pick-up during homework club hours, as it’s Fun Friday and students will be engaged in various activities throughout the school. Thank you for your understanding!
Important Tuiton Info
Please note the following important information regarding tuition payments:
- Late Fee: If your tuition is not paid by the 5th of the month, a non-reversible late $50 fee will be applied on the 6th.
- Payment Plans: If your tuiton balance remains unpaid by the 15th of the month and no prior payment arrangement has been made with the office, your child will not be able to attend school until a payment plan is established or the balance is settled.
