Grading Policy
Late & Make-Up Work
- Work from the first half of the Term is due by the midpoint.
- Work from the second half of the Term is due the last day of the Term.
- The grade for late assignment submitted following an unexcused absence will be reduced by one (1) letter grade.
Term 3:
- First half late/make-up work is due February 27, 2025.
- Second half late/make-up work is due April 7, 2025.
Re-takes
- Assignments with a grade of D+ (69%) or lower may be retaken ONE TIME only.
- The retake must happen before the late/make-up work deadline.
- The highest grade possible on the retake is a C (76%).
- RCTs are an exception: all may be retaken for full credit.

Ms. Harris - Math
Greetings Bridgetown Families! It was a pleasure to meet with you during student-led conferences. This week in Math 6, students will practice writing and solving equations using inverse operations. Notes for this are located in Canvas ---> Modules. This week in Math 7, students will take RCT #6 for Unit 6: Expressions, Equations, & Inequalities. A review guide will be shared on Desmos for students to prepare for the assessment. Students can access Desmos through Clever.
PI Day: We will celebrate PI Day on Monday, March 17, 2025. Students are permitted to bring circular foods to celebrate and share with the class. We will also have a PI Day contest where students will compete to see who can remember the most digits of PI! Math 7 students should bring in cylindrical objects for their activity. Math 6 students should bring in circular objects. (I will provide some as well!)

ELA - Ms. Lemon
Greetings Team Bridgetown! This week students will be completing their Research Simulation Task (RST) on a topic that we have discussed in class. The RST consists of students reading 2 non-fiction texts and watching a video to complete an essay. Later this week, we will be completing Part 2 of our book “Inside Out & Back Again.”
Book Project Information: Students should be reading their independent reading book and beginning to plan out their projects. The planning worksheets and rubric are available on Canvas. Cardboard will be available in our classroom starting next week. Students can make all pieces for their games. Students can see me for cardboard, glue sticks, blank white paper or construction paper for their assignment.

Hi Team Bridgetown,
Next week, students will be reviewing for the Roots Term 3 Summative. To support their preparation, they will work on various review activities, including interactive Blooket. On Tuesday, 3/18, they will submit their Roots study guide and take the Roots Term 3 Summative assessment. ][After the summative, students will begin their new unit on Oceans, Atmosphere, and Climate, where they will explore the interactions between oceanic and atmospheric systems and their influence on global climate patterns.

World Geography & Cultures - Lenhardt
Greetings! The entire week, 3/17-21, I will be chaperoning an 8th grade trip and will not be here. There will be a series of articles and responses covering market, command, and traditional economies, covering all five days. Each day students will have a new reading or video to analyze and a final packet to submit Friday, 3/21/25.
ELA Resource - Ms. White
Greetings! This past week students read the first half of the text Inside Out & Back Again “Part 1. Saigon” while completing gist statements about each poem. Next week we will finish reading “Part 1. Saigon” and begin reading “Part 2. At Sea”. Additionally, we will complete the Research Simulation Summative in class.
