As we head into another week of learning and growth, I want to thank you for your continued support in creating a positive and safe environment for our students. This week, we’re excited to highlight some of the incredible achievements and events happening on campus, from classroom projects to extracurricular activities.

A special note of pride this week as our girls' basketball team prepares for the upcoming sectional tournament at Clay City! To show our support, we’ll be kicking off Spirit Week—a fun opportunity for students and staff to get involved and cheer on the team. Here’s the lineup for Spirit Week:

• Monday – Sleep on LCA (pajama day)
• Tuesday – Wolverine Pride (wear your school colors!)
• Wednesday – 90s Throwback
• Thursday – Black Out (wear all black to support the team!)
• Friday – Time Hop (Seniors & Juniors: Senior Citizens, Freshman & Sophomores: Babies, Staff: Teenagers)

SPRING DUAL CREDIT REGISTRATION:

Students in Intro to Engineering Design, Trigonometry, AP Lang, AP Lit, and Advanced Composition: If you want to register for dual credits for these classes, this must be done by Friday, February 7th. Come see me if you have any questions!

FAFSA:

Starting this year, all seniors are required by law to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and they should plan to do so by April 15th. Students and their parents should each create an FSA ID at least 4 days before they plan to file the FAFSA.

21ST CENTURY SCHOLARS:

Go to scholartrack.in.gov and login or register (if you don’t already have an account). Make sure you have agreed to the scholar pledge and completed the scholar success activities for your grade level. Let me know if you need help!

WRV Athletic Department will be selling all sports passes this season!

Individual passes will be $80

All students grades 3-12 received a free FANG GANG Pass for home contest (excluding tournament contest).

If you are interested in earning a "free all sports pass" and helping out the athletic department at the same time, we will once again be offering the opportunity to work athletic gates to earn your pass.

New state law, Senate Enrolled Act 185, bans cellphones during instruction time unless specifically permitted by the teacher for educational purposes. Student cellphones should be turned off and stored in their lockers or turned off and out of sight. We thank all of our students and families in advance for your cooperation with this new law.
