We are off to a fantastic start, and I am excited to share some fun upcoming events and celebrations with you.

As part of our commitment to reinforcing positive behaviors and the 4Bs—Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be A Problem Solver—we are thrilled to announce our upcoming PBIS Movie Reward Days! Each homeroom who earns100 PBIS a week for the month will participate. We can’t wait to celebrate their hard work and great behavior.

Here are the dates and movies planned:

• January 30: Encanto

• February 28: Brave

• March 28: Luca

• April 25: TBD

• May 15: TBD

We will reveal the April and May movie selections soon. Schoolwide rewards like these are a wonderful way to encourage and celebrate the consistent practice of our 4Bs. We are always so proud of our students' behavior and the positive culture they help create in our school.

Additionally, don’t forget about the Glow Dance happening next Friday evening! This is always a fun event, and I look forward to seeing all of you there. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate our school community together. Thank you to our amazing PTO for planning!

While it is impossible to avoid germs, it is possible to reduce their spread by practicing good health habits at home and school. Remind your child to:

• Wash hands frequently with soap and water for 15 – 20 seconds. This is particularly important after toileting, before eating, and after coughing or sneezing.

• Properly use and dispose of tissues after coughing or sneezing.

• Avoid sharing food or drinks.

• Avoid touching the mouth, nose, and eyes.

• Avoid close contact with people who are ill.

If your child becomes ill, please remember to keep your child home until they have a normal temperature without medication and/or have not vomited for at least 24 hours. For the flu, children should remain home until symptoms are gone and free of a fever for a full 24 hours. Please realize that your child is contagious to the entire class if they come back too soon and are more likely to pick up a secondary infection
