Principal's Message

Happy Friday Cougar Families!


We have made it through our first full week of the school year and the energy on campus has been overwhelmingly positive and there is a lot of excitement for the 2024-25 school year.


We had some unexpected learning opportunities this week with the Anita Fire on Monday and the fire alarm going off earlier this morning. The Anita Fire was definitely a cause for concern and I want to thank our staff, students, and community for their patience and professionalism as we navigated the potential disruption to the orderly function of the school. We sent multiple communications to the community through the text feature in ParentSquare so please check your preferences or call our front office if you did not receive the alerts.


Also please share with us if there is anyone in our community that has been adversely impacted by the fire and in need of services. The more we know, the more we can support.


It was great seeing and getting to meet many of you at Curriculum Night last night. We had a great turnout and I want to express my gratitude to our community for choosing Steele Canyon and partnering with us in the education of your children. We work hard to build community at our school and it is important to know that you feel safe and welcome on our campus at all times.

Parent/Guardian Action Required - New and Returning Student Data Confirmation Form

The yearly New and Returning Data Confirmation Form is now ready for you to fill out in Aeries Parent Portal. This form allows you to verify information related to you and your student, including phone numbers, emergency contact information, medical needs, and addresses. For more information, please refer to an email that was sent out Monday night at 5:00 PM titled "2024-25 New and Returning Yearly Student Data Confirmation Form".

We hope that in our newsletters we can continue to provide resources, educational materials, and support for both parents/guardians, students, and the Steele Canyon Community.
