RED WING RANCH SUMMER CAMP 2022
Red Wing Ranch – Summer Day Camp !!!
Imagine a place where the songs of red wing blackbirds fill the air. A place where you
can see as far as the ocean to the west, the mountains of Humboldt County to the north,
the Mendocino National Forest to the east, and the mountains of Sonoma County to the
south. This is Red Wing Ranch.
Summer 2022:
This year there are new teachers, new counselors, and new exciting activities!
Oh, and the fish have gotten even bigger for fishing!!!
Red Wing Ranch is hosting afternoon day camp opportunities for students entering the 6th and 7th grade: June 21, 22, 23, 24.
There is an overnight available on June 24 for star watching and campfire followed by a family potluck lunch from 11-2 on June 25.
*Day camp will also be available for students entering the 4th and 5th grades: June 27-30.
Students will experience specialty classes in watercolor art, gardening, nature walks, canoeing, archery, and fly fishing in a stocked trout pond.
We will depart River Oak at 12:30 PM each day and return by 6:00 PM. Spaces are limited, so if you would like to reserve your child’s spot, please fill out and return the form below by Friday, May 27.
Parents who sign up will receive a detailed list of what their child should bring and be asked to sign a standard permission slip / waiver form.
The cost per day to cover expenses is $80 per day or $325 per week. Cost will be $400 if including overnight accommodations, with a minimum of 10 overnight campers.
To ensure that no child is turned away we will strive to offer partial and full scholarships.

We are excited to share that River Oak Alumni Graciana Kirsch will be returning to teach at our summer camp. Gracie graduated ROCS in 2014 and followed her love of art into her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and is now going on for her MFA at UC Davis in the fall where she will focus on interdisciplinary arts.
Sienna Devi who is currently the art teacher at the Willits Charter School
John O’Mara who teaches natural building and simple living skills and has taught at Credo High School
