2024 October Edition
Message from Principal Rowell
We are well into the school year and with that students are faced with the challenge of keeping up with school work and any extra curricular activities or athletics they are involved in. As a result, we recognize that a supportive educational program requires implementing an equitable multi-level system of supports. As a result, in our secondary programming, we provide varying types of supports at differing levels of intensity to proactively and responsively adjust to the needs of the whole child.
Please encourage your child to reach out to their teachers as needed. Being proactive in their learning, and advocating for the support they need is a great skill to develop and one that is transferable to other settings.
Also, feel free to reach out to our school counselors, activities/athletic director or myself if we can be of any assistance to you and your child(ren). A strong partnership promotes a strong school community and ensures success for all.

Fall Season Coming to An End
Believe it or not, we have made it to the end of the fall season. Time has flown by and the Blue Bombers have been quite impressive this fall. Many teams are finishing up their last few games of the regular season and are gearing up for the postseason.
The postseason is always one of the most exciting times of the year. Regardless of what happened during the regular season every teams record becomes 0-0 during the postseason, and every team has the chance to make it to State! It is going to be exciting to see how our student-athletes finish up the fall season.
GIRLS TENNIS IS GOING TO TEAM STATE
The girls put on an impressive performance and they scored 44 team points, beating out St. Mary Catholic who had 42 team points. Individual state starts on Thursday, and then team state starts next week Saturday. Both events are taking place in Madison, so come on out to cheer on the team!
Upcoming Playoff Home Games
The boys soccer team received a 7th seed recently and will be hosting a playoff game on October 24th against Kenosha St. Joes. The game starts at 7:00pm, and we hope to fill the grandstand in support of the team.
The girls volleyball team received an 8 seed and will be hosting Random Lake on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:00pm. This will be the first home playoff volleyball game that they have had since 2010. Make sure to come out on the 22nd to fill the grandstand and cheer them on.
Thank you Seniors
To all the seniors who came out for a fall sport or activity - we want to thank you for your dedication and commitment to the activity that you participated in.
We heard many stories this year of seniors mentoring and helping out the underclassmen. Please know that taking the time to help out underclassman doesn't go unnoticed and creates a much better culture and team. Best of luck in the postseason, these will be some of your last moments of your fall sports playing career, so make every moment and play matter!

Students will get a pass for the meeting and be excused from class.

These meetings will take approximately 30 minutes and will start at the beginning of November. Students, please try your best to schedule the meeting during your study hall. YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP / INTERNSHIP
If your Junior or Senior worked over the summer and continues to work at the same place during the school year, they may qualify for YA.
The benefit of YA is that students can earn a state issued certificate from the Department of Workforce Development and HS credit for completing the program. The YA program looks great on resumes and scholarship applications.
If your child is interested in meeting with the YA coach, they can schedule an appointment to see if YA is a good fit for them. https://calendar.app.google/fhtdksJGCyKZtkz89
Parents, if your employer might be interested in taking on a YA student please contact me. I would love to explain the program's benefits to the employer.

HOLIDAY ARTS and CRAFT FAIR RETURNS
Saturday, November 23
To continue this time honored tradition, we really need 6 parents to step up to serve on one of the following committees: facilities, raffles, café, vendors, volunteers, and finance.
Please call Shannon Bullard at 920-627-2092 to help. It would require attending 2 meetings and helping on 1 shift on the day of the event. This way we have more than 1 person who knows how a committee functions.
This week, we also need volunteers to put up yard signs and posters. Please contact Shannon at the number listed above.
Craft fair funds: teacher stipends, athletic teams, scholarships, teacher celebrations, telephone directory, room parents and so much more.
Also, a sign up genius will come out shortly for baking and volunteering opportunities on the day of the event. It takes a village!
Other big needs:
* Seeking a vice-president by December 15th in order for PTO to continue next year.
* 2 Parent co-leaders for Teacher appreciation week May 5-9
* 1 parent lead for the Middle High School Teacher conference dinner in spring
* 1 parent to update bulletin boards 2 -3 times
Parents are the energy behind kid’s educational experience.
Go Blue Bombers!
