Title 1 Family Night
Our Title 1 Family Night this month was "Holiday Music Around the World." Families were able to explore musical traditions from different countries associated with their year-end holidays. Our night features a tree craft activity and fun-filled sing-along!
Sing-Along
On Monday, December 23rd, all the students at John Marshall will come together to sing and celebrate the festive holiday season. We will sing from all different winter holidays as we head into our Winter Break. There will be some holiday classics along with a few new songs for our learners.

John Marshall Handbook Policy: Electronic Devices and Toys
Please review the information from the John Marshall School Handbook regarding Electronic Devices and Toys
No fidget spinners or any other devices will be allowed in school without appropriate documentation from a doctor, stated in an IEP, or 504 Plan.
Please note that at no time will students be permitted to bring toys, water guns, collectible cards such as Pokémon cards or electronic devices such as individual iPads or handheld video games to school. If any such items are discovered, they will be confiscated by the office immediately. The office will arrange for the items to be picked up by the student’s parents. If a cell phone is brought to school it must be turned off and is not allowed on until your child leaves school. Cell phones are not permitted on the school bus or taken outside at lunch. If this occurs, the cell phone will be taken away and not given back until a parent or guardian picks it up in the Principal’s Office. Please remember the school is not responsible for any lost cell phones. It is highly recommended that all cell phones be left at home.
Specific Reminder: Pokémon Cards
This is a reminder no Pokémon Cards should be brought into school. We are also suggesting that these cards are not in the student's backpack either, they should not take them out on their bus/van either. We are finding that students are bringing these cards into the building and then getting upset if a card goes missing. We appreciate your help and support with this matter.
Online Resources available at Home
Our students have now settled into their routines at school and are familiar with the online programs they will be using this school year. Students can access these programs at home as well by logging into their Edison Classlink Account: https://launchpad.classlink.com/edison.
The Username is their Student ID number and the Password is their district issued password they use daily.
The new math program, enVisions by Savvas, has games and resources students can use at home and is available for students in all grades.
Students in Grades 2-5 can use their Reflex Math accounts to practice learning their basic math facts and start to build fraction understanding with Frax when ready.
Students in Grades 1-5 can work on their individualized assignments on their MyPath in i-Ready.
Students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade are also encouraged to visit their Reading Eggs accounts.
