Regular Attendance Required!
Attendance Matters!
Ninety-Five to Ninety-Nine percent of the students who attend HSoC. state the need to graduate early. However one cannot graduate if one is not in attendance. Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. This relationship between attendance and achievement may appear early in a child's school career. ... research shows that attendance is an essential factor in student achievement.
All students are full time 7:45 - 3:15
The bottom line is Students can be and withdrawn and frequently are when they fail to communicate issues and not show up for school. Once a student is withdrawn from HSoC. They will need to re-apply in order to be considered for acceptance.
Credit Denial !
Credit Denials and Attendance
Students that are in jeopardy of being denied credit, are usually in jeopardy for attendance purposes. DO NOT PLACE YOURSELF IN THIS SITUATION.
Above is an example of the type of documentation students receive once they are identified for possible loss of credit.
ASVAB Testing
The ASVAB is a timed, multi-aptitude test, which is given at more than 14,000 schools and Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Defense Department (DoD).
The ASVAB helps the DoD not just determine whether you are a good fit to join the service, but also which service branch you might be best for and even what military jobs you can hold after you finish basic training or boot camp. The better your ASVAB score, the broader your options.
You can start preparing now by taking our ASVAB practice tests (click or tap on the test links in the header above). These tests will give you an idea of how you'll score and identify areas for improvement. Then, use our suggested resources and ASVAB study guides to learn how to prepare for the ASVAB test.
Students’ interest in taking the ASVAB ( Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test for possible use in gaining acceptance into the military, please contact Mrs. Wilkerson at cwilkerson@wisd.org
