Coupeville School District Leadership Change:
Dear Coupeville Families and Community,
We are writing to inform you of some important leadership changes within our district.
After many years of dedicated service, Mr. Ebersole has made the decision to retire. We are grateful for his contributions to our school district and wish him all the best in his retirement. Please join us in expressing our appreciation for his years of service.
Due to this unexpected departure, we have a principal vacancy to fill. Given the timing of the school year, it will be challenging to find a permanent replacement immediately. We are fortunate to have Erica McColl, a current CSD administrator with six years of experience, who will be stepping in as Interim Principal at the elementary school. Erica is currently our middle/high school Assistant Principal. She has numerous years of experience at the elementary level including her years as both a counselor and paraeducator. Erica brings a strong commitment to student belonging and happiness and will be a valuable asset to our leadership team.
With the loss of Erica to the elementary, we have a position to fill at the middle/high school. The assistant principal position at the middle and high schools will also be filled on an interim basis. We are pleased to announce that Allyson Cundiff will be transitioning into this role. Allyson has a wealth of experience both within our district as our Special Services Director and as a principal in a neighboring district. She will continue to provide exceptional leadership and support to our students and staff.
To ensure continuity of services, we will be filling the Director of Special Services position with an interim director. We will be announcing the appointment of this individual in the near future.
We congratulate Erica and Allyson on their new roles and are confident in their ability to lead our schools.
Thank you for your continued support of our district. We look forward to working together to ensure a successful and positive school year.
CES will be putting out additional information tonight re: tomorrow night's curriculum night and your opportunity to meet Mrs. McColl.
Go Wolves!
Sincerely,
Shannon Leatherwood, Superintendent
