Welcome the newest members of our Mount Pleasant Family!

Mrs. Jennifer Hann-Deschaine

High School Career Center Advisor

Goal: To help all BSD students to graduate with a plan for their next step after high school.

I will assist the school counseling departments at all three high schools in the great work they do to help students learn about their options including 4-year college, 2-year college, trade school, certification/workforce training programs, serving in the military, and/or entering the work force.

Mount Pleasant on Thursdays. Mondays/Fridays- rotating.

Mr. Michael Reitemeyer joined our Math department on November 12. He's been teaching for 19 years and formerly worked as a math coach. He also has experience as an International Baccalaureate program teacher. He enjoys time with his children, cooking and reading. Mr. Reitemeyer is excited to share his love for math with our students.

Ms. Elyse Carmack is the newest member of our Math department. She has 7 years of teaching experience at both the middle and high school levels. She is a Delaware native who loves singing, photography, playing volleyball and exploring the outdoors through hiking. She is excited to share her passion for math and her adventures with her students. Ms. Carmack will join us on December 2. We know everyone will welcome her to the Mount Pleasant Family.

AVID Parents - The AVID program is hosting Their quarterly family night. You received an invitation from your student's AVID teacher. The students have prepared a presentation and fun night for their parents. Don't miss the opportunity to participate in a fun night with your student.

Students and parents will receive their report cards on 11/19 during the school day. Parents will have access to their student's grades in Home Access on or by 11/19.

Reminder each teacher records the attendance to each class based on the student reporting to their class. If a student is going to be absent a parent or doctor's note must be provided to the attendance secretary, Mrs. Maya Grier We cannot accept a note or message from a student as verification of their absence. International Baccalaureate Applications and Choice Applications for the 2024-2025 School Year

  • Friday March 21, 2025 - Final Day for Parent to Notify District/School of Acceptance Decision
