Luce School Council Vote on Wednesday, September 11
Meet Leah Davis
As the proud mom of a kindergartner, I am excited to have the opportunity to join the Luce School Council. Our future as a community and the legacy each one of us will leave behind is embedded in our children. Having an active role in the future of the Luce community and the having a role in the overarching legacy that our children leave behind for the students that come after them is the reason that joining the LSC is an opportunity that I want to pursue. My hope is that in joining the LSC, we can make the Luce community one that others want to join and emulate. A community where everyone is welcomed, ideas and change are embraced and each student is empowered to be the best that they can be.
Meet Elise Cedrone
Hello Luce Community!
My name is Elise Cedrone, and my son is in 2nd grade. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the School Council, where I’ve gained valuable experience working alongside other parents, staff, and Principal Lamour.
As a Registered Nurse, I’m comfortable collaborating with a diverse group of people, bringing a positive and team-oriented approach to the table. I also coach boys’ soccer for the town and love staying involved with the kids in our community, always aiming to make a positive impact in every interaction.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, working out, and spending time outdoors with my boys. My goal is to be a voice for parents while helping the council achieve its mission to support our school in the best possible way.
Wishing everyone another great school year!
Meet Johnny Truong
Hello! My name is Johnny Truong, and I currently have two children attending the Luce, with another joining in a couple of years. I'm passionate about being actively involved in the school community and contributing to initiatives that foster a positive learning environment for all our children. Joining the school council is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with other parents and staff to make meaningful decisions that benefit the students.
Meet Frankie Joyce
My name is Frankie Joyce and I would be honored to continue as a member of the Luce school council. I joined the council in 2022 and have really enjoyed the task of critically evaluating the student and parent experiences at the Luce via global student assessment outcomes and parent survey results, and then helping to develop a school improvement plan to make the Luce even better. I am the proud Dad of a Luce fourth-grader, Eliana, and new Kindergartener, Avery. I had the privilege of serving as a member of the Playground committee in 2021 and really enjoyed the opportunity to engage with Principal Lamour, the Luce faculty, and other parents. As a proud graduate of Massachusetts public schools, I am interested in ensuring that each Luce student is provided the same opportunities that I was afforded and more. In addition to my role as a parent, I am an Anesthesiologist and ICU doctor and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Tufts University School of Medicine. A large part of my day-to-day duties is focused on the education of both medical students and physician trainees. I will bring this experience in addition to the knowledge and skills I gained in earning a Master of Education degree to this role. I greatly appreciate your consideration of my candidacy for this role. Wishing you and your family a wonderful school year!
