Dear Colonial Park Families -

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day! I would like to recognize the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. To all our Colonial Park Families who have lost a loved one serving their country, I would like to thank you and honor their memory.

We had our final Goldie Gathering of the school year on Friday, with special guests Goldie and Jiji making an appearance! We recognized our ST Math Rockstars, who showed great perseverance when faced with challenging puzzles, as well as our Student and Community Spotlights. Also, in recognition of Memorial Day, Mrs. Levine's kindergarten class led our school in the National Anthem.

I would also like to recognize our fourth graders, who each month led our Goldie Anthem song and dance. From the very first time they performed, these student took their role very seriously, and they have been excellent role models for our students. Our third graders have big shoes to fill next year!

On Tuesday, May 21, Colonial Park had its first evacuation drill. Our staff and students successfully followed our evacuation route to the High School, gathered on Boxwood, and then returned back to the building. I am so proud our our community for completing this drill, and it truly could not have gone any smoother.

Just a reminder, Friday, May 31 is an Early Release Day for all Stoneham Public School students. Our preschool students will be dismissed at 11:40, and our students in grades K-4 will be dismissed at 12:00. I am attaching our June lunch menu and our 2024-2025 School Calendar for your information. Have a wonderful week!

We are looking forward to Field Day on Monday, June 3. This year, each grade level is invited to wear their Fun Run t-shirt, or a t-shirt of that color, instead of the traditional blue and white. With the addition of water events, the white t-shirts were uncomfortable for some students. Our fourth graders will be wearing their blue fourth grade t-shirt. Ms. Dean will be making the schedule on Tuesday, and I will share it with families. All events will be over by first lunch at 11:10.

If your child prefers to wear a t-shirt other than the Fun Run t-shirt, the colors are:

PreK - Red

K - Orange

Grade 1 - Green

Grade 2 - Yellow

Grade 3 - Blue

Grade 4 - Fourth Grade shirts

We are entering into the final stretch of the 23-24 school year, and there are always so many dates to keep track of! For the remainder of the school year, I will include a list of important dates each week and as new events are added, I will update the list and bold the new events.
