9/11 Moment of Silence
In accordance with a Board of Education Resolution, all schools were directed to conduct a moment of silence today, for the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Your children may have questions regarding the event and moment of silence so please help them to understand that this is a way to honor lives lost during a horrible event in our country's history.

PTA Movie Night
What a wonderful PTA Movie Night we had last Friday. Thanks to all the families that came out for tacos and Ratatouille. After our 'tech dream team' overcame technical issues and the sun finally set, families enjoyed a beautiful evening on the soccer field enjoying the movie.
Learning Targets have hit Highcroft Drive Elementary! 🎯🏹
Tired of getting a "nothing" and/or a shrug when you ask your students what they learned today?!
In today’s classrooms, learning targets are like the roadmap for what students are supposed to focus on during each lesson. They make it easier for kids to know exactly what they're aiming for. Highcroft teachers are implementing Learning Targets during lessons to keep aim on student outcomes and learning! So, when parents ask, "What did you learn today?" having these clear goals helps kids give better answers. It turns those dinner table chats into a chance to share what they’ve picked up and really connect with what they’re learning. It’s a win-win for everyone, making home conversations more meaningful and keeping parents in the loop about their child's progress.
Volunteers Needed in the Media Center
Want to volunteer in our Media Center? Mrs. Fiedler would love your help with reading to classes, shelving books, and helping with LOTS of projects to make the Media Center our Huskies’ Happy Place. Sign up here to help! Want to volunteer when your child's class is in the Media Center - but you’re not sure when that is? Check out the class calendar on our Media Center website. Don't forget, all volunteers must be 'registered volunteers'.
Thank you! 🐺
