May 2025
Noticias from Mr. Macias 🎤
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
As we close out another school year, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your support, dedication, and hard work that have helped make this year such a success. Together, we focused on school improvement, academic achievement, and preparing our students for critical benchmarks and ACT testing. Your efforts—both at home and in the classroom—have made a real difference.
To our parents and guardians: thank you for entrusting us with your children. It is a responsibility we take seriously and a privilege we deeply value. Your partnership is an essential part of our students’ growth and success.
To our students: we are proud of all you’ve accomplished this year. Whether you’re heading into summer break or preparing for summer school, know that your hard work is recognized and appreciated. Keep striving, keep learning, and enjoy some well-earned rest.
As we look ahead to the next school year, we do so with excitement and confidence. We will continue building on the progress we’ve made and remain committed to creating a safe, challenging, and supportive learning environment for every student.
Wishing you all a safe, happy, and restful summer.
Warm regards,
Mr. Macias
Principal

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 👩🏻🏫🍎
We celebrated this our amazing teachers and staff this week! We are so grateful for the work they do each and every day for our school community. Teachers and staff got donuts, coffee, marigolds, and movie popcorn, candy, and soda for the week. Also, we asked parents for some donations and are thankful to have gotten pizza and subs from some of generous families! We love our Project MORE community!
Project MORE Fiesta 🪅
What a blast we spent Friday afternoon at our Project MORE fiesta! There was music, games, the army and fire department tabling, Goodwill crew visiting, and amazing smashburgers made by Mr. DeSantis and assistant Mario. Students were able to earn balloons to throw to Mike and Mr. Jurik. HUGE Thank you to our fiesta planners: Ms. Perry, Ms. Luz, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Flores, and all the teachers for your help and donations. An awesome way to end the year.

Tip of the Month 💡
Since the pandemic, there has been a rise in anxiety among teenagers and young adults. Panic attacks are harder to deal with when you aren’t sure if you are experiencing a panic attack, especially since many of the symptoms mirror scary conditions such as heart attacks or strokes.
When you don’t know what is happening to your body, it can lead you to fear that you are dying, experiencing something life-threatening, or going crazy.
But there is hope in knowing that panic attacks are treatable, and that you are more capable of coping with panic attacks than you are likely given yourself credit for.
