Despite the 90+ degree temperatures outside, Sprague students found creative ways to spend their recess building, puzzling, and strategizing as these photos show.

• No School: Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day.

• Before/After School Activities Registration: Opens at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3.

• Family Traditions Fair: Volunteers needed. Sign up by Monday, Sept. 9.

• Late Arrival: Thursday, Sept. 12, students begin school at 9:45 a.m. No school for early childhood students.
• Picture Day: Friday, Sept. 13.

Please follow the road rules during morning drop off to ensure everyone's safety. If you are dropping off children, you may enter the east parking lot at 7:55 a.m., making a right-hand turn only. Please follow the staff’s directions and exit the lot with another right-hand turn. We kindly ask that you do not park in any of our parking lots in the morning to drop off students as space is limited and we want to ensure staff can park safely in the morning. By following these guidelines, we help keep our children safe and demonstrate the importance of community and caring for one another. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sprague School is offering a variety of Before School Activities Classes and After School Activities Classes. Classes are highlighted below in the newsletter.

• Registration opens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, on the RevTrak Web Store.
• Classes are $25 total per class. Some classes may have a materials fee.
• Classes are six weeks and begin the week of September 16.
• There is no transportation offered for before school and after school classes.

We are excited to announce that our Annual Family Traditions Fair will be held on Friday, Sept. 27. Our family and student population is rich with celebrations from countries all over the world and this day is one of many ways we celebrate those traditions at Sprague School!

Here is where you come in! What better resource we have than our very own families! We are asking for volunteers to set up a booth at the fair to share a part of your culture! Please complete the Family Traditions form by Monday, Sept. 9. We will email you with a confirmation and additional information shortly after the deadline.

D103 PTO is hosting the Sprague Back to School Bash on Friday, Aug. 30, at 6:00 p.m. All Sprague families are invited to join the fun. The event will feature food, a DJ, and plenty of activities to enjoy.

To beat the lines, you can preorder your food, which includes pizza, juice, chips, and ice cream. The party will end at 7:30 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to help out during the event. See you on the 30th for a fun and memorable way to kick off the school year!
