A+ Summer Tutoring: Students eligible and interested in completing their A+ tutoring this summer will be able to sign up in April. Sign ups will come out via email from Mrs. Ginger. Students will select their preferred building along with their availability. After signing up, students will need to attend a mandatory training meeting in May.

Register for the April 5th ACT: The regular deadline to register for the April 5th ACT was February 28. The late registration deadline is March 16. Late fees will apply to late registrations. April 5th is the last time Fort Osage will host the ACT until October 2025. We recommend if you are a college bound junior and you have not taken the ACT yet, that you sign up for the April ACT. If you need help registering, please contact Mrs. Ginger a aginger@fortosage.net. Mrs. Ginger can also assist with a fee waiver that will cover the cost of the ACT should you be on free or reduced lunch.

ACT Prep Info: ACT Prep for the April ACT will begin March 3rd and run through April 2nd on Mondays and Wednesdays (when school is in session) from 2:30-3:30 after school. All students will need to provide their own transportation. Interested students should see Mrs. Ginger for a permission slip.

AP Test Dates: For those students who registered 1st semester to take Advanced Placement (AP) tests this Spring, tests will begin the first full week in May. AP test dates for Fort Osage students are as follows:

EOC Test Dates: End of Course tests are coming up next month! If your student is taking Algebra, English 10, Biology or Government they are required to take an EOC as a graduation requirement. Please be sure your student is at school and ready to go on test day! If you have any questions about EOC testing, please contact Mrs. Sellars or Mrs. Brandmueller.

April 22-25: Seniors and Virtual Students EOC testing

April 30-May 1: Biology and Government EOC testing

May 5-8: Algebra 1&2 and English 2 EOC testing

NCAA/NAIA Clearinghouse: Athletes, please make sure you are in contact with your coaches and Mr. Duis regarding your NCAA/NAIA Clearinghouse status. In order to be eligible to play sports in college, you must go through the Clearinghouse. If you have any questions that your coach does not have the answer to, please see Mr. Duis in the Counseling Center.

West iNd Connection & the WiNc Inclusion Center are awarding up to $3000 in scholarships to any graduating Jackson County, Missouri public high school senior. For more information about this scholarship and to apply, click here.

The American Legion Scholarship Program

Deadline to Apply: April 20, 2025

The American Legion is offering several scholarships to Missouri students who are descendants of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the US Military, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. West Central Electric Cooperative Scholarship

Deadline to Apply: March 7, 2025

West Central Electric is providing up to twenty $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors. Applicants must have a parent/guardian who is a current West Central Electric member. Applicants must also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must have taken the ACT or equivalent college entrance exam. Ryan Grace Memorial Scholarship

Deadline to Apply: March 9, 2025

Has organ donation had an impact on you or your family? Has that experience changed your personal views on organ donation? If it has, apply for this scholarship by clicking here. Up to three renewable scholarships will be given out each year.

The Hagan Scholarship

Deadline to Apply: March 15, 2025

The Hagan Scholarship is a life-changing scholarship that provides up to $7500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, providing recipients with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free. Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship

Deadline to Apply: March 7, 2025

The $1,000 Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship Program is designed for graduating Missouri high school seniors who plan to pursue college studies in banking-related degree programs. For more information and to apply, click here.

Automobile Dealers of Greater Kansas City Scholarship

Deadline to Apply: March 31, 2025

Will you be pursuing a degree in the automotive field? Do you have a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher? If you answered yes to both questions, you may qualify for this $2,000 scholarship. Jackson County Farm Bureau College Scholarship

Deadline: March 28, 2025

The JCFB scholarship is open to any student in Jackson County, with special consideration given to students with an interest in agriculture, veterinary medicine, or education, however all applicants will be taken into consideration. Farm Bureau membership is NOT a requirement for eligibility. Stop by the Counseling Center to pickup an application.

Blue Springs Elkettes Scholarship

Deadline to Apply: March 31, 2025

The Blue Springs Elkettes are offering $3000 scholarships to graduating seniors. The application for this scholarship must be typewritten so if you are interested in applying email Ms. Bozeman (mbozeman@fortosage.net) or stop by the Counseling Center for instructions.

George Owens Nature Park

1. George Owens is looking to fill a part time Center Attendant position. This position pays $13.75 an hour. Be aware that the posting says you must have a high school diploma to apply, but if you are 18 and on track to graduate, you also qualify to apply.
