American Pie XIII
This past weekend marked the 13th annual WHS American Pie! This rock concert takes the audience on a journey through history via rock music. This year's theme was music festivals throughout the years, and the sold-out show featured 29 incredible student performances.
American Pie began back in 1985 and was founded by retired Columbus North High School history teacher Ed Niespodziani. It started as an alternative lesson, combining United States history with popular music from the corresponding time periods. Westfield High School adopted the idea 13 years ago, and it’s been a smash hit ever since! The founder, Mr. Niespodziani, joined our audience this year to rock out alongside our Rocks!
