Mission
The mission of George Bannerman Dealey is to provide an exemplary education that develops and empowers all students to become productive citizens in our global society.
Full of Love!
Greetings Dealey Community!
“You can only give away what you have ... If you have love, you can give it. If you don't have it, you don't have it to give.”
― Leo Buscaglia
We are full of love here at Dealey! I would like to say thank you for your loving thoughts, actions and contributions to our spectacular community. We have proved that love of friends, family and community members is the true key to success. We can only give what we possess. Therefore, I am thankful to everyone for ensuring you and others are filled up emotionally. Our community love language is why Dealey received 945 magnet applications this year! Dealey is full of love!
As we start this week, we have a very important change for morning entry. All Primary students will now enter through the primary hall doors. All 1st- 5th grade students will continue to enter through the cafeteria doors. This will help us effectively implement our new breakfast in the classroom program.(see more information below)
Valentine's Day will be full of activity here on campus. I am allowing all students and staff to wear their favorite "love inspired" outfit on Friday. All middle school students are welcome to wear their Valentine's Day dance attire during the school day. We are wishing everyone lots of love!

Breakfast in the Classroom -2/10/25
Dear Families,
Since 2012, Dallas ISD has proudly participated in Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC), a federally funded program that ensures students start their day with a free, nutritious breakfast. This initiative helps improve focus, academic performance, and overall well-being by giving students the energy they need to succeed. This program was supported by members of the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees and has been part of the board policy since its start. To align with CO(LOCAL), we will begin expansion to all elementary schools starting February 10, 2025.
This expansion reflects the Dallas ISD commitment to fostering a healthy learning environment for all students. Breakfast assists students with a healthy start to their day, preparing both their bodies and minds for exceptional learning and student achievement! Numerous studies show that students who start their day with a healthy breakfast exhibit higher standardized test scores, and improved retention and memory. In short, breakfasts served through the BIC program are a great way for students to start a successful day.
This change means that as of Monday morning, February 10th, 2025, we will be requesting that all Primary parents have students enter school through the Primary Entrance located next to the Primary Playground on the Edgemere side of Dealey next to the carpool lane between the hours of 7:45am and 8:30am. Cafeteria staff will breakfast down to the classrooms and students will be eating breakfast, if they would like to, in their classroom rather than the cafeteria. ALL PRIMARY STUDENTS will enter through this door, as of Montay, February 10th, regardless of whether they are eating breakfast or not.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this change. We hope you have a wonderful night and rest of your week. Please feel free to contact your classroom teacher with any questions.
Kind regards,
The Primary Team
