Dr. Patterson's Weekly Update
Eagle Pride: Video by Dr. Patterson
January 25, 2020
Happy Saturday Eagles!
Can you believe we are already at the end of January? Midterm reports go home in a little over a week! Students have been working very hard in class, and we are seeing a lot of growth in reading and math. We recommend that parents of students in grades 3-5 have students work in iReady 10-15 minutes per night since they are able to bring their computers home daily. Students work in iReady 45 minutes per week in school; however, the extra minutes at home will make a difference in growth.
Thank you to our parents who are reading with your children at home each night. All children benefit from reading with adults even when they are old enough to read. Take time to read with your children daily and share your love of reading. It will make a huge difference!
We are very excited about our PBIS "Glow Party" Celebration on Friday, January 31! Students who have earned at least 100 DoJo points and avoided Think Sheets and office referrals are invited to attend.
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser
Our Krispy Kreme fundraiser continues through this week. We are selling Krispy Kreme certificates for $8.50 each, and they may be redeemed at Krispy Kreme for one dozen doughnuts. One dozen doughnuts normally costs over $10.00, so you are saving money by purchasing certificates through our school. We receive 50% of the profit to purchase supplies that will directly benefit our students. All money and orders are due no later than Monday, January 27. Certificates will be sent home with students on Thursday. Thank you for your support!
Talent Show
Our talent show for 2020 will be held on the evening of March 5. Tryouts were completed this week, and practices will begin soon. The Talent Show Committee will be notifying students and families about the outcome of the tryouts. We are looking forward to the best talent show ever!
Box Tops
Thank you to all who donated Box Tops! We will be collecting until the beginning of May. Please continue to collect Box Tops and turn them in by April. Box Tops provide extra funding for our school.
THANK YOU for being a Box Tops Hero!
