We are blessed to have a seasoned Classical Conversations dad and Challenge director, Andy Truitt, visiting us in Miami to demonstrate the power of the classical model and how it is used in the Challenge classroom every week. Andy will be modeling for us how to use the classical tools to lead our students in learning even when we haven't read the book or studied the lesson they're working on!

Andy and his wife, Heidi, live in Lakewood, Colorado, and have three sons, two of whom are in Challenge programs, and the oldest is a freshman at Grove City College where he is double majoring in economics and philosophy, and minoring in math. Andy currently serves as one of two National Directors and also as a Challenge III Director. Over the 10 years that he has been involved with CC, he has also served as an Essentials Tutor, Essentials Tutor Trainer, Practicum Speaker, Speaker Trainer, Challenge II Tutor Trainer, Challenge II Director, and as Regional Manager (Sales Manager).

You only have to listen to Andy speak once on practically any topic related to CC to feel the passion and enthusiasm he has for Classical Conversations and those connected with it. He loves the blessing that comes from even the simple things in CC like building strong, Christ-honoring relationships within a CC community or the awesome dinnertime conversations parents can have with their Foundations or Challenge students. Because he and his family have been so blessed by CC, Andy is driven to share this blessing with others and to help them understand the invaluable consequence of participating in a CC community with their children all the way through high school.
