Let's Stay on Track!
Dear Odyssey Students and Families,
I know we are all excited to begin a new 9-week period, and I want to remind everyone of a few important items to ensure continued success.
🌟Key Reminders🌟
âś…Attendance at Live Lessons: Students are required to attend live lessons regularly. These sessions are an important part of your learning journey, and staying engaged will help you stay on track with your studies.
✅Staying on Pace: Make sure to stay up-to-date with your coursework. Consistency is key in ensuring that you finish the semester strong. If you are behind and do not understand your expectations, don’t hesitate to ask for support!
âś…Communication is Key: We are here to help you succeed. Please communicate with your teacher or our support team if you have any questions, need assistance, or just want to check in. We want to ensure you have the tools and resources you need to thrive.
✅College & Career Readiness (CCR): If you are in your third year of high school OR have not received your CCR credential, it’s time to start preparing for the WIN Assessment. CCR classes will begin on February 5, 2025. These classes are essential to ensure you are successful on the WIN Assessment. 🌟 February Students of the Month 🌟
Maddie Leftin
We are excited to recognize Maddie Leftin as one of Odyssey Online Learning's Students of the Month for February! Maddie embodies the qualities of an engaged and creative learner, standing out for her enthusiasm, participation, and dedication to her studies.
Maddie’s teachers have high praise for her efforts, with one noting, “Maddie is dedicated to receiving the most out of her education at OOL. She attends class regularly, advocates for herself when she has questions and completes her assignments daily. Her hard work paid off when Maddie received one of the highest grades in English I last semester!” Her commitment to excellence and her proactive approach to learning make her an outstanding member of our learning community.
When asked about her favorite part of being an Odyssey Online Learning student, Maddie shared, “My favorite thing is the way I get to interact with my teachers and classmates. Even though we aren't physically together, the classes make it seem like we are. My teachers are very interactive and want us to participate and get to know each other.”
Outside of school, Maddie enjoys drawing and is currently working on animating a story. She is also learning to play the guitar and has lived all over the country with her family due to her dad’s service in the Air Force. Her creativity and curiosity shine in all aspects of her life.
Congratulations, Maddie! Your hard work, positive attitude, and artistic spirit inspire us all. Thank you for being such a valued member of the Odyssey Online Learning family!
Aurora Carey
We are excited to recognize Aurora Carey as one of Odyssey Online Learning's Students of the Month for February! Aurora exemplifies the qualities of a curious and creative learner, standing out for her active participation, thoughtful questions, and passion for learning.
Aurora’s teachers speak highly of her efforts, with one noting, “Aurora always comes to live class eager to learn and is never afraid to participate or ask questions. She’s a star student!” Her dedication and enthusiasm make her an outstanding member of the Odyssey community.
When asked about her favorite part of being an Odyssey Online Learning student, Aurora shared, “My favorite thing about Odyssey Online Learning is the flexible learning schedule, specifically the pacing of most classes. For most electives, they are self-paced courses, and I can take them as fast or as slow as I’d like to go. Most classes already have an automated self-scheduling, but it allows me to excel if I would like to. No other schools have let me pace myself on my classes before, so at Odyssey, I don’t get bored with my classes.”
Outside of school, Aurora is an aspiring craft artist who loves cosplaying, animating, drawing, and creating. She’s been cosplaying since she could walk, incorporating her self-taught skills in crafting into her creations. Aurora dreams of turning her hobbies into a career or small business, and her creative spirit shines brightly in all that she does.
Congratulations, Aurora! Your passion and creativity inspire us all. We are so grateful to have you as part of our Odyssey Online Learning community and can’t wait to see where your talents and hard work take you!
Evan Sternett

Evan recently completed an outstanding semester in Geometry, excelling not only in his grades but also in his engagement during live lessons. His teachers describe him as someone who makes class more fun, always gives his best, and is willing to help anyone in need. One teacher shared, “Evan is an outstanding student and person! His positivity and willingness to assist others truly make a difference in our learning environment.”
When asked about his favorite part of being an Odyssey Online Learning student, Evan shared, “The teachers and staff are amazing! They are part of what allows me to succeed, and they are always there when I need anything. In classes, you can tell teaching is not just a job to them—they are truly inspired to help us learn, which is part of what inspires me to learn and flourish.”
A fun fact about Evan—he has an amazing twin sister who was Student of the Month last month! It’s clear that dedication and excellence run in the family!
