Carver Elementary School Eagle Updates

Keeping Our Parents Informed – December Edition
Hello, Carver All-Star Families!
We are almost halfway through the second quarter, and our students are soaring to success! As we continue this journey, here are some important updates and reminders to keep our Eagles on track:
Stay Connected with Class Dojo
Communication is key! If you haven’t already, please set up a Class Dojo account to stay informed about your child’s behavior and progress. Teachers are awarding points for positive behaviors and taking points for areas of improvement throughout the day. This is a great way to stay in the loop and celebrate your child’s successes!
Mark Your Calendars – Sneakerball!
We are excited to announce our Sneakerball on Tuesday, December 19, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM!
- Cost of Admission: $3
- Snacks Provided
Come dressed in your finest outfits and your favorite sneakers for a fun evening. We can’t wait to see you there!
Upcoming Science Check-In
Our fifth-grade students will take their Science NC Check-In on December 5, 2024. It is vital for all students to be present, on time, and prepared for this important assessment. Thank you for ensuring your child is ready to give their best effort!
Weekly iReady Goals
To keep our Eagles soaring academically, students are expected to log at least 45 minutes per week in both reading and math on iReady. Parents, please help by ensuring students use their laptops responsibly and only for their intended educational purposes. Together, we can keep our students on track for success!
🍿 Online Fundraiser – Our fundraiser kicked off on Monday, November 18, and we’re excited to share that it’s completely online! Support our school by shopping at Poppin Popcorn Online. Every purchase helps our students. Thank you for your support!

Fall Festival Celebration
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our Fall Festival! Students who sold 50 or more raffle tickets earned a well-deserved spot at a special pizza party. Some students went above and beyond, with one outstanding overachiever selling an impressive 800 tickets!
The festival was a day to remember, filled with delicious food, fun games, exciting raffles, and the crowning of our prince, princess, king, and queen.
Fall Festival Celebration
Congratulations once again to our Carver All-Stars for their amazing efforts in selling raffle tickets. Your dedication is inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder!
Thanksgiving Donation
Carver Elementary School would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to New Beginning Ministries Baptist Church of Henderson, NC where Bishop Dr. Raphael Holloman is the pastor. We want to thank them for their generous donation of 10 turkey food boxes which are going to 10 families in need within our school community.
This act of compassion demonstrates the power of partnership between schools and community organizations. When we work together, we can ensure that our students and families receive the support they need, both inside and outside the classroom.
We are deeply grateful for this contribution and encourage other community members to join in making a positive impact on the lives of our children and their families. Together, we can truly make a difference!
Thanksgiving Donation
A Heartfelt Thank You to Middleburg Methodist Church. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Middleburg Methodist Church for their generous donation of Thanksgiving boxes to our school. Your kindness and support make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and their families.
This act of giving underscores the power of community partnerships in supporting education and fostering a sense of togetherness. Together, we can continue to create opportunities that strengthen and uplift our community.
Thank you for being such a valuable partner in our mission to serve and support our Carver Eagles!
Thanksgiving Donation
We are incredibly grateful to Pastor John Miles and Risen Faith for their generous donation of turkeys to our students and families. Your kindness reflects the spirit of giving and community support that makes a difference in the lives of our Carver Eagles.
Community partnerships like these are vital to our mission of supporting students beyond the classroom. By working together, we can ensure that our children and families have the resources they need to thrive. Thank you for your continued commitment to making a positive impact in our community!
