Dear Judson ISD Family:
Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all were able to spend some quality time with family and friends during the Easter holiday.
As we return to our duties, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: our hard work and dedication have been recognized by the community in the 2024 San Antonio Express-News Readers' Choice Awards. We’ve been voted as the #1 school district in San Antonio! This accomplishment is a testament to each and every one of you and the incredible effort you put into shaping the lives of our students.
Let’s continue to strive for excellence and make our district proud. Congratulations to us all!
Judson ISD Voted the Best School District in San Antonio
We did it, #JudsonISDFamily! We're thrilled to announce that we're the official winners in the San Antonio Express-News Readers' Choice award for the #1 School District in San Antonio!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who voted for us. This recognition motivates us as we remain dedicated to delivering top-notch educational excellence!
National Assistant Principal Week
It's Assistant Principals Week at Judson ISD! Let's take a moment to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of our incredible assistance principals. Thank you for all that you do!
Ms. Kari Savage-Egg is an Assistant Principal All Schools Need
You only have to talk to Ms. Kari Savage-Egg for a few minutes to know she loves being an assistant principal. She has been part of the Judson ISD Family for 21 years as a teacher, RTI Facilitator, and for the last four years, as an Assistant Principal.
She has loved every job she’s had at Judson and she is passionate about public education.
“No matter what, they [students] are all ours. You walk in the door with your baby and I'm going to take care of them, every single one. Whatever they need, that's what they're going to get,” Savage-Egg said.
That’s how Savage-Egg approaches all aspects of her job. As an assistant principal, it’s not just the students who need her. The role is there to support the entire school community and Savage-Egg believes that communication is the key to making all of those relationships work.
Summer School Information
We are receiving an abundance of applications for Summer School and Programs. Thank you to everyone that has expressed an interest in working this summer. Here are a few reminders:
Applications: The approval in Eduphoria only indicates that your application has been received. It does not indicate that you have been hired for the summer. Summer School principals will hire their own staff for each of the designated sites in April.
FAQ List: I have included a list of Frequently Asked Questions and responses to address several questions sent via email. Please click the link below: FAQs for Summer School and Programs 3.20.24.pdf

JISD Alum Spencer Burford from the San Francisco 49ers comes to visit
Spencer Burford, San Francisco 49er and recent NFC champ, came back to Judson ISD last week and walked the halls he walked when he was younger…and smaller! He was greeted with cheers, smiles and even a little swooning!
Spencer visited Hopkins Elementary, Kirby Middle School and Wagner High School where his love for sports began. There were many hugs for those he’s known since before he was an NFL football player and long before he stepped out onto the global stage of Super Bowl LVIII.
We want to thank Spencer for spending the day at Judson ISD and showing our students that with hard work, perseverance, and focus, they can achieve their dreams!
