As we approach the end of the semester, we're excited to share some highlights and important updates!

STEAM Night Celebration
Our recent STEAM Night was a tremendous success! Students and families enjoyed engaging, fun activities that brought learning and creativity together. We were thrilled to see so many families participating and exploring hands-on STEAM experiences.

Upcoming Break and Midterm Exams
Just one more week to go! Soon you'll have time to travel, rest, and enjoy quality moments with your loved ones. The midterm exam schedule has been finalized and is attached for your reference.

After-School STEAM Programs
We're excited to announce that our after-school STEAM programs will continue when we return from break. Students can look forward to more exciting, interactive learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Winter Break Details

• School will be closed from December 20th to January 5th, 2025. Students will return to school on Monday, January 6th, 2025.
• Midterm exams will be completed before the break

• After-school STEAM programs resume upon our return
  
  

Re-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will be open in January. This is a great opportunity to secure your child's place for the upcoming school year. More information is forthcoming.

Middle and high school midterms are around the corner!

• Monday December 16th - Thursday December 19th, 2024.
• Exams will be from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Except for Thursday Dec. 19th, dismissal will be at 10:00 AM
• Please arrive on time and be prepared for the assigned exams.

This is a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, December 20th, 2024.

As we near the end of fall and enter into the winter months the weather will be cold. Please dress your children accordingly. Jackets, hats, and scarves are needed to help keep our scholars warm and ready to learn.

Ms. Sabeen's Pre-K class held a culture day event for their families and loved ones! Bright attire and yummy foods found from different parts of the globe decorated our school. No matter where we come from we are all one Ummah united by our love for Allah, and of course yummy food! Jazak Allah to all the parents that showed up and brought in treats for the class to share. Special shout out to Ms. Sabeen for putting this event together! Mashallah!

IFS staff attended a PD at the Multilingual Conference in the Tinley Park Convention Center this past Tuesday. This year’s conference included sessions dedicated to school improvement and was full of opportunities to connect and gain new ideas. This event is for educators serving linguistically and culturally diverse students in collaboration with ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act). From ELL to writing our teachers were enriched with various opportunities and lectures to help further professional development and growth. We are proud of them and are excited to learn all the knowledge they acquired. Mashallah!
