Principal's Message
Dear MVRHS Community,
As we find ourselves at the midpoint of the academic year, it's an opportune moment to pause, reflect, and refocus our energies. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to lose sight of the power of choice – yet, it is in our choices that we shape our destinies and carve out our paths to success.
Within the walls of our school, amidst the flurry of classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities, our students are continually presented with choices – choices that have the potential to propel them forward or hold them back, choices that shape their character and define their aspirations.
At the heart of our educational mission is the belief that every student possesses the ability to steer their own course, to chart a future that aligns with their dreams and ambitions. As educators, we are committed to nurturing this spirit of agency, empowering our students to make informed decisions, take calculated risks, and learn from both success and failure.
In the classroom, we strive to cultivate a culture of inquiry, curiosity, and critical thinking – skills that are indispensable in navigating the complexities of the modern world. We encourage our students to question, to analyze, and to think creatively, equipping them with the tools they need to make sound decisions in all aspects of their lives.
Beyond academics, our school offers a rich variety of opportunities for students to explore their passions, interests, and talents. Whether it's through participation in sports, the arts, experiential learning opportunities, or leadership initiatives, we encourage our students to pursue their passions wholeheartedly and to embrace the diverse array of experiences that our school community has to offer.
In the months ahead, let us continue to embrace the power of choice – to choose kindness over indifference, resilience over defeat, and growth over stagnation. Let us strive to make choices that align with our values, our aspirations, and our vision for the future. Together, let us embark on the second half of the academic year with renewed determination, passion, and purpose. The choices we make today will shape the possibilities of tomorrow – let us choose wisely, and let us choose boldly. Mascoma Inspires! Build the path you want to take.
Sincerely,
Tina Fleming
MVRHS Principal
