Lightspeed Parent Portal
Dear School Community,
Lake Travis ISD has teamed up with Lightspeed Systems® to allow parents and guardians to see their child’s online activities on school-provided devices at home and after school. This free service is now available along with LTISD’s existing web filtering system, Lightspeed Filter, which blocks students from accessing inappropriate online content.
Starting on 8/18/2024, parents and guardians will receive a Weekly Student Online Activity Report via email, summarizing their child’s web browsing activity for the week. Please be aware that this email may be redirected to spam, so checking this folder is important to ensure it's being received. In addition to the report summary, parents and guardians can also register for the full web-based portal, Lightspeed Parent Portal, which provides real-time, detailed student browsing activity and internet controls.
The Lightspeed Parent Portal provides parents with improved visibility and control over their children's internet usage on school-issued devices outside of school hours. With Lightspeed Parent Portal, parents can:
Allow, restrict, or block after-school access to YouTube and social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more.
Receive the Weekly Student Online Activity Report email showing the number of browsed web pages, student time spent daily online, and sites most commonly visited.
See real-time web activity with timestamped data and allowed/blocked indicators for each website visited.
Pause web browsing for one hour, three hours, or overnight to manage screen time.
To learn more about the Lightspeed Parent Portal, please refer to the following PDF: https://www.ltisdschools.org/fs/resource-manager/view/a7a14773-3c96-4f35-b3f7-6a8de5fd490b. As an essential aspect of our collaboration, Lightspeed Systems is governed by and strictly adheres to student data privacy laws, such as FERPA and COPPA. This ensures that
student information stays confidential and will not be shared, distributed, or sold to advertisers or other parties.
Visitors & Deliveries
It is our priority to keep students and staff safe and focused on high quality education. Therefore, we respectfully require that all visitors sign-in at the office upon entering through the front doors and wear a visitor’s badge while in the building. The badge verifies that you have checked in the office, presented proper identification and made clear the purpose for your visit. In addition, you must have a pre-scheduled meeting with your child's teacher in order to have a parent-teacher conference.
For the first two weeks of school, we will not have visitors for lunch. This allows students time to adjust to school procedures as well as build relationships with classmates.
Deliveries of forgotten items to students should be limited, so that important instructional time is not interrupted. Parents needing to drop off a lunch or other school items to their child will be able to do so by dropping the labeled item(s) in the Main Office. Items will be delivered to the students as soon as possible.
We do not allow lunch deliveries from outside vendors (Grub Hub, Uber Eats, Door Dash etc.).

Your Leadership and Counseling Team
While our campus leadership team works collaboratively with all students and teachers, the following information should help you reach the appropriate administrator or counselor for your child's grade level should a concern or question arise. We are committed to serving our students and appreciate the opportunity to work together with families to support our learners. Towards the start of the new school year, each counselor and Assistant Principal will be assigned new duties to individual grade levels, and we will share that information with families and students at that time. In the interim, please feel free to reach out to any member of our leadership team for assistance.
