BSES Families,

It was a busy week at BSES! The Scholastic Book Fair returned and our entire school enjoyed this well-loved event. Our students enjoyed shopping and purchasing new titles. It was wonderful to see our building filled with families during Tuesday evening's Family Night. We are extremely grateful to ALL of the parents that supported this event. A HUGE shout out to Cindy Burgy, Mariann Shahadi, and all of the parent volunteers for the time and energy they put into making this week a success!

Today our kindergarten students celebrated an early Thanksgiving, feasting together. Everyone enjoyed the meal and spending time together. Our third grade ended the week sharing their writing at Sharefest. It was wonderful to see so many students take the stage and the audience asking curious questions and making considerate comments.

We hope our students enjoy their time at home next week and we look forward to sharing student learning with families during conferences. Students will return to BSES on Monday, November 27th.

Happy Thanksgiving to the entire BSES community. We are grateful to you all.

It’s the time of year when you notice that your child has outgrown their winter clothing. We can help with that!

The Helping Hands Club is sponsoring a warm clothing drive from November 20 through December 1. Please bring your gently used (no stains or rips) or new warm clothing to the BSES lobby.

Hey Garnet Valley Family! Are you ready for the holiday season? Do you still need your picture with Santa? Don't worry, the HS boy's soccer team and band have you covered! Saturday, December 2nd, from 9 am - 12 pm, come and get your picture with Santa, make crafts, enjoy some holiday treats, and sip some hot chocolate and coffee at Garnet Valley High School. For $5, each family can get their photo taken with Santa while supporting the Boy's Soccer team and the GVHS band!

Time: 9am-12pm

Where: Cafeteria Entrance at Garnet Valley High School

What: Picture with Santa, kids crafts, holiday treats, coffee, hot chocolate

Cost: $5 for entrance & photo, crafts (food/drink available for purchase)

If you ordered a CAD Cookie Cake Kit, you can pick it up at your child’s conference next week. There will be a table in the school entrance hallway with your name labeled on the kit. Don’t forget to grab! If you are not attending a conference or doing a Zoom conference, please contact president@bseshsa.org and we will make sure your kit is ready to be picked up either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week at school. And great news, Bethel Springs had the most orders of all three schools, so all of our staff will receive free cupcakes during conferences! Thanks for participating and Happy Thanksgiving!

The Fall Mileage Club concluded today, and we want to express our gratitude to Stephanie Slowik, our fantastic lead, for her efforts in coordinating this 8-week club. Additionally, a big thank you goes out to the weekly volunteers who dedicated their Friday afternoons to assist with grades 1st - 5th. We extend our appreciation to Jaclyn Rutecki, Devon Trumbower, Liz Gobbs, Heather Benson, Alexa Bonacquisti, Paolomi Mukherji, Lindsay Dalessio, Marla Gardner, Mariann Shahadi, and Karen Sholders. A special thank you goes to our Gym Teacher, Ashley McCusker for having the Fall Mileage Club for students during recess. We can’t wait for the Spring Mileage Club!

You do not need to be a creative person to join. Come and have fun, and B&B will make sure you take home something great.
