Irish Gifted Academy
Week of October 13th, 2024
Hey IGA Family!
I hope you all had a memorable Fall Break and enjoyed some quality time with your families! We are excited to reunite with everyone in the morning and continue our journey of learning and growth.
This past week was filled with excitement and innovation. Our Community Helper Day was an incredible success as first responders and community volunteers took time to visit our primary students. They provided wonderful, hands-on experiences that allowed students to see the many ways our community works together to stay safe and strong. It was inspiring to watch our young learners engage with such important members of our community.
We also created lasting memories with our first field trip to the Georgia National Fair for our third through eighth graders. Students were fascinated by the various forms and methods of agriculture they observed. This hands-on learning experience provided a deeper understanding of agriculture's role in our lives, and it’s sure to spark continued curiosity in many of our students.
As we gear up for another amazing week, please remember that report cards will be coming home tomorrow, October 15th. Be sure to check your child’s book bag or folder for this important update on their progress.
We are so excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow and continue this wonderful journey together!
With gratitude,
Mr. Taylor

Stakeholder Survey Now Avaliable
Here in Dublin City Schools, we're committed to continuously improving our learning environment and ensuring our students thrive. As part of this commitment, we need YOUR invaluable feedback. Fighting Irish Family, please take a few moments to complete our Fall Family Stakeholder Survey - specifically sharing what we're doing well and what we can do to better support our students and community.
Open NOW - October 2nd, the survey should only take a few minutes to complete. Your responses will be confidential and used solely for the purpose of enhancing our school environment and educational outcomes.
Let's Step Up!
Our Dublin Middle School and Irish Gifted Academy National Beta Club are working on a service project to help those in need get off on the right foot through the collection of gently used and new shoes. You can drop off shoes at either location: (1501 North Jefferson, 1127 Hillcrest Parkway). Contact Marci.mulkey@dcsirish.com or arrion.reed@dcsirish.com for more information. Let’s make a difference one pair of shoes at a time!
