Newsletter Week 3 Term 4
Tainui Full Primary School 05 November 21
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia ora, Kia orana, Talofa, Bula, Greetings
How time flies when you are having fun and with a little over 5 weeks of the school term left, every minute counts and so regular attendance of your child/ren is so important.
Even under these crazy & unusual times Tainui is striving forward and working hard to normalise school life as best we can. We do think of our Auckland and Waikato colleagues, whānau and students who are navigating online learning with an uncertain time of normality for them. Our thoughts are with them.
At this time of the year we would be looking forward to our major events such as Market Day, Prize Giving and Athletics, however, with Covid amongst us and our region being at alert level 2 unfortunately it does not allow us to provide such events like we would normally be doing. The challenge is continuing to provide rich opportunities and events, adapting it as another version along with making sure that the strict health requirements are still in place. In saying this; I have been extremely proud of our staff and students who continue to work hard and are designing some fantastic learning opportunities for our students to keep them engaged and motivated.
Details for any of the above events like prize giving will be shared soon, this will look a lot different for us all.
Enrolments are open for the rest of this year and for next year. To help whānau make a decision our Year 7 & 8 education classes are open on Wednesday 10 November at 5:00pm - we encourage you to come along and check it out. Please spread the word. Anyone keen to join our school tell them to come along.
Check out our Year 7 & 8's participating in their boxing class as part of their Talents programme. Every Friday Boxing classes with Mrs Morrison.

Ngā Pēpī Manu-Transition to School
Kia ora, Kia Orana Talofa lava & greetings whānau,
Our Ngā Pēpī Manu programme supports your tamariki during their transition to primary school life. Every child adapts differently when finding a sense of belonging in new environments, all who are involved should make this a positive experience. We will work together to create a plan and timetable that will suit the needs of the child and family.
Our programme will run Monday to Thursday from 9am-1.30pm. The number of visits we recommend before starting school is six weeks. In the first three weeks visits will be two times a week and the last three weeks visits will be three times a week. If there is a need for more visits to support the transition, that can be arranged. We look forward to meeting with you and working together to grow competent and confident children for our future.
Kia manuia
