PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Happy Friday FMS families,
Don’t forget Monday and Tuesday are half days (Noon dismissal) as we have parent teacher conferences scheduled for Monday afternoon. You can expect the afternoon buses to arrive 3 hours earlier than usual.
Mr. McGinty did an activity tying our sticking together challenge with Thanksgiving. He had students make mini postcards about being thankful and sticking together. When you are here for parent teacher conferences I suggest you take a look at the bulletin board outside of the library. It will warm your heart. If you can’t make it or won't have time to wander over to the bulletin board, here is a sample: I am thankful for my mom because we stick together; I am thankful for my friend because she supports me; I’m thankful for my family they are kind to me; I’m thankful for my friend because he plays with me at recess; I’m thankful for my friend because she is always there for me; I’m thankful for my dad because he drives me everywhere.
I am thankful for all the students who donated money for the duct tape challenge. The totals are in and I am happy to say that there should be enough duct tape to safely secure me to the wall! We have collected over $740 for the PTA, which means students will use over 740 feet of duct tape to stick me to the wall next Tuesday. What a fun way to support our PTAs fundraising efforts. Stay tuned for pictures of what I expect to be a very exciting assembly!
