St. Lawrence Scoop
Week of September 9 - September 13
Principal's Message
Hello St. Lawrence Families!
What a fantastic first few days of school; we are so blessed to have your children here at St. Lawrence.
Arrival and Dismissal are one of the busiest and dangerous times of the school day.
Please DO NOT park your car in the side parking lot and walk your children into the school. If you are going to park, please park up front near the main entrance and walk your child(ren) into the school. This policy is in our handbook to ensure student safety during this busy traffic time.
Hot lunches and milk start on Monday, September 16th!

School Emergency Drills
St. Lawrence follows all NYS Rules and Regulations regarding emergency protocols.
We hold at least eight evacuation and four lockdown drills each year to practice the emergency protocols.
Prior to St. Lawrence holding a lockdown drill, families will be notified at minimum 48 hours in advance.
In school, we share with students we practice these drills incase there is stormy weather. We do not discuss active shooters, or anything to this nature. This is a parent conversation, not a school conversation.
If you would like to discuss further, or have any questions about these drills, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself (Crystal Criticos).
CASE Training
Just a reminder all parent volunteers must be CASE trained prior to volunteering within our school. CASE training is good for 3 years. If you are interested in becoming CASE Trained please reach out to Brianna Parker at Brianna.Parker@dor.org
