The Custer School Board has announced that the position of Superintendent of Schools has been offered to Dr. Tim Frederick. "Dr. Frederick has accepted our offer and is thrilled to join our district in the near future," said Custer School District (CSD) Board President Jeff Barnes. With 20 years of experience in K-12 education and administration, Dr. Frederick has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Mobridge-Pollock School District (MPSD) since 2010. From 2004 to 2010, he was the Middle/High School Principal at MPSD. Before his tenure at MPSD, he was a teacher, educator, and coach with the Wessington Springs and West Central school districts.

Duties include cleaning all areas of school building and classrooms, including, but not limited to, scrubbing, mopping, disinfecting, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing floors, as well as painting, and shoveling snow, when required. We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a generous grant of $263,559.52 from the WE B Giving Foundation!

Our goal with this application was simple yet meaningful: to foster an inclusive environment by providing the adaptive equipment needed for students of all abilities across various schools and programs.

Here’s a glimpse of what the grant will provide:

**Adaptive and developmentally appropriate playground equipment for our Early Childhood / preschool program at the Armory Building.

**Inclusive playground equipment at Custer Elementary (CES) and Hermosa Elementary (HES) schools, featuring large items like an adaptive merry-go-round that allows children using mobility devices (wheelchairs and strollers) to join in the fun, and musical instruments like conga drums for all to enjoy.

**An interactive system for CES and HES PE programs, designed to engage every student in physical activity.

**A wide array of adaptive tools to enhance school therapies, including PT sessions and PE classes.
