I hope everyone has had a nice weekend. It was an amazing weather weekend for our incredible Trunk or Treat event! The HPTO went all out to put together another wonderful seasonal event for our community! I am pretty sure we had a record turnout yesterday, I saw alot of smiling faces and heard alot of laughter happening!

I personally took advantage of the Taco Truck that was there and it was very very good, haha. It is hard to believe we are about to close out October in the next week and a half, ending it with our Costumes for Kindness day on October 31st. This is one of my favorite events, there is nothing better than seeing the staff and the students dressed up for the event. Please remember the costume requirements for your student(s), no weapons of any kind, no scary masks, and that they are comfortable for the school day.

I want to personally thank the HPTO for yesterday's success! They did a magnificent job putting this event together and it showed throughout!

On an important note, if your student has a cell phone, please remind them to keep the phone in their backpacks while at school, as well as on the bus ride to and from school; this goes for smart watches as well. I understand phones and watches are for safety purposes, they are also quite a distraction to the students. Again, if your student has a phone or smart watch please ask them to keep them in their backpacks.

Lastly, I want to remind you to stay involved in your child's education. Attend school events, communicate with teachers, and stay engaged in their learning journey. Your support is crucial to their success.

To better estimate the demand for lunches on half days, CPS Nutrition utilizes online lunch ordering for HALF DAYS ONLY.

For the upcoming half day Wednesday 9/18/24 orders must be received by Friday 9/13/24.

If you would like your child to have lunch on future half days, the online ordering is open for you to go ahead and select those dates.

Directions to set up your account and order:

2. Sign up now: Email, create password.
3. School District: Chelmsford Public Schools
4. Student ID: This can be found on x2- Child’s student ID number
5. Last Name: (You can also search and add siblings/family members at this time). Once this is completed, the student's name should appear on the page.

How to order meals

1. School Menu-select online lunch ordering (all schools)
2. Scroll to week of half day/early release date (top right of page)
3. Find date, select meal option
4. Add item to cart/Select Add to order
5. Click on shopping cart icon at top right of page
6. Click Check out
7. Select pick up location: Elementary pick-up location classroom. Middle/high school pick up location cafeteria.
8. Place order

Dine to Donate Thursday, October 24 🍕

HPTO is holding a fundraiser with Sal’s Pizza at 296 Chelmsford Street, Chelmsford, MA. The fundraiser is on Thursday, October 24 from 11am to 8pm, which also happens to be a half day! 15% of your order will come back to the HPTO to be used for future programming. Vouchers must be present at time of purchase, and are valid for walk-in or phone orders, so be on the lookout for paper flyers (going into mailboxes Monday) and digital copies on our Facebook page or on Link Tree.

Stock the Staff Room begins Wednesday, October 30 🍪

Let’s show our teachers and staff some love as we roll into the holiday season and stock their break room with some goodies and make it nice and cozy as we head into the holiday season! Donations can be placed in a plastic tote outside the main door starting Wednesday, October 30. Please make sure all items are store bought & individually wrapped, and consider gluten free options as well! Detailed flyers go home at the end of next week.

No school Tuesday, November 5! Looking for something to do? Join us at Chuck E. Cheese, Lowell, from 11am to 9pm. Chuck E. Cheese will donate 20% of sales to the HPTO. Flyers will go home closer to this date, so be on the lookout.

HPTO Monthly Meeting Wednesday, November 6 📅

Please join us Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30pm in the library. The meeting will also have a Zoom option, which will be sent through ConnectEd the morning of the scheduled meeting, along with our agenda for the evening. Be sure to check your email!

Calling all fourth grade parents! The Fourth Grade Parent Committee information session will be held during this meeting, around 7pm. We would love to have you in person for this session (and really the whole meeting)! Please try to attend in person, but we understand if Zoom is your only option.
